You can use any of our clears or a automotive clear, as far as finish that would be your choice if you wanted item to have a matte, semi, or gloss finish. Thanks

Q: What is the actual dimension? Description says 21"X1"X1"

Our film is sold on here by the meter. So that would be 20 inches wide by 6 1/2 feet long. This particular film, we also have in 40 inch wide by 6 1/2 feet. If you need more than 6 1/2 feet you can order another quanitity size. Thank you

Q: What happens if i dont us a lght background

You wont be able to see the details, light background color is needed.

Q: besides the film,activator,and tank full of water, and tan base coat, what else is needed?

Nothing else is needed except maybe a thermometer to check water temp. They say water temp is a factor in the film hydration.
