Truly a marketing manual.
If you are like me and hack first and think later - this book is for you. What I learned and how I used the book.1. Fundamentals of marketing or pointers to other resources for deeper dive (books, blogs, articles).2. Learn about/from experiences of other founders and startups. Some still exist and some don’t. Nevertheless you learn about markets and challenges.3. Had to read this book a bunch of times before things became natural.4. Keep handy the other books the author recommends.

As a tech-person, and not really into the business/marketing ...
As a tech-person, and not really into the business/marketing stuff, Dr. Jonikas' book is an interesting and very practical read. For anyone who is building a startup, validating the startup idea and ensuring there is a sensible and sizeable market is very critical at the start. This book just gives you all that practical and data-supported step-by-step advise to help you determine and reach market viability.

Beginners versus Experienced Readers
The author wrote the book in a very simple style aiming to help and educate entrepreneurs, when you read the book you feel you are not reading a book rather Dr. Donatas is physically sitting with you, coaching you, mentoring you, etc .. once you see such a style, you know for sure this person is in the heart of the industry . If a student fails a course, the motherhood analysis is that he or she did not study hard enough, being sick in the exam, etc … lots of assumptions to shift the blame on the student or the situation, but when someone has different critical analysis that the student should not study this course at all because it is not in line with career’s ambitions, wrong major selection that does not fit personality aptitudes and natural desires, now we listen carefully as this is not a motherhood analysis assumption. For beginners, the author established a good roadmap to follow and then you can determine bottlenecks that are applicable to your business as there is no size fits all. For experienced people, I find it difficult to rate it 5 stars, to them it is a motherhood analysis, however; if the author determines to convert the book into a workshop book that stimulates critical thinking for a focus group discussions I would rate it 5 stars, something for the author to consider in the future. One final comment, the template downloads in the website does not work!
