We purchased this drill to use with a 40 mm spade drill bit to make holes for decking rope in our decking posts. The drill was powerful and did the job well, the handle was great for keeping the drill steady. We did have to keep retightening the drill bit in the chuck hence the four stars. However my older drill wasn’t powerful enough to handle the job, this one did it with ease. It does offer good value for money.

needed to drill 3 holes into brick the old drill failedthis did the job in under 2 minutes,its perfect for these type of jobs that require power, Its also gone through thick woodto allow repair of the side gate. For the price you cant go wrong.

This was fine for drilling 4 holes in to a wall to put some wood up, but I've just drilled 7 holes through mortar and the motor blew up meaning the drill has failed and needs to go in the bin. Yes it isn't a De Walt but I'd expect more than a total of maybe 15 holes 80% of which is just drilling through mortar not brick.
