I always use food safe paper for anything with food even though the items are heat sealed I shredded this paper and used it for filling worked out great

Excellent paper for homemade caramels
I love this paper for wrapping our homemade caramels. I cut each piece of paper into quarters. The caramels were easy to unwrap! And the twisted ends stayed twisted shut. The red and white stripes look great for the holidays. This is so much better than grocery store waxed paper for wrapping candy. I'll buy it again.
