Architect (Imperial) Scale and Engineer Scale Set - Two UV Printed 12 Inch Hollow Aluminum Triangular Scale Rulers with Protective Sleeves

I am at a loss for words regarding my frustration about this product. I originally had ordered it for my graphics college course. It was the perfect deal, two classy looking scales that each would serve a different purpose. It was only until it came in the mail that my dreams of drawing as an engineer were temporarily crushed. Instead of finding and architects AND an engineers scale, I found TWO architects scales and NO engineering scales. I live chatted with an Amazon person and all they could do was order a new set free of charge. So, I patiently waited another day with the hopes that the correct set would be sent. I got home the next day from my tiresome engineering job only to be disappointed yet again. TWICE. Is there a surplus of architects scales somewhere? Is there a thief that only wants engineering scales? Does someone have something against engineers? Does someone just really want me to be an architect? How does this happen twice?

I would have given them 5 stars, but the 3/8 and 3/4 scales are reversed! Had me going for a minute, since nothing scaled correctly. Otherwise, nice feel and quality. Good value in my mind, as long as i remember the scales are reversed! They use a system based on the Japanese in Taiwan, so nobody to catch this one at the plant!

Seems I cannot find an aluminum framed ruler with a true white background and black laser etched lines. Then we would have the best of all worlds: high visibility, accuracy and durability. I think the aluminum color and painted lines detract from ultimate quality yet this item seems competitive with the best offerings available. No complaints and would still recommend.

No matter what your profession may be, should you need to make scaled drawings of literally anything. These are the tools to get your project started. I'll make a scaled-down drawing on paper for all my projects. Then, I'll turn that work into a vector graphic using the same scales as my paper copy. From there, I am able to produce a drawing which can be scaled to any size requirement without any loss of resolution or detail. And it all starts with the Architectural / Engineer Scaled Ruler Set.

Purchased these as a going away/congratulations gift for an engineering intern who just graduated and was joining the ranks of professional consultant engineers. I know that he will not fully appreciate them for years to come. They long surpass my plastic scale that I inherited from the supply closet. ...I should probably put these on MY wishlist.I won't be much help with how they perform overtime. First impression is that they will last a very long time.

These work great and won't dent as easily as plastic ones I have had in the past, though they are aluminum so you do still need to be a bit careful with them. The included cloth bags help keep them safe.

Liked Quality of workmanship and attention to detail. The durability of this set will last a career lifetime. Will be giving this product as a gift for now and in the future. Nothing not to like.
