Hammertoe caused by large bunion
My bunion has worsened over the years and caused a hammertoe. In fact if i don't wear these correctors my large toe actually crosses under the hammertoe. Most bunion correctors spread the toes which really hurts after a while and which tends to push the hammertoe up even more. I bought several different types of bunion correctors over these past two years and this is the only type that works for both. Not ideal perhaps but pulling the hammertoe down does keep the bunion from crossing underneath. I've tried gel and sock spreaders and they all hurt after a while. The splint type of corrector is really hard to position just right so doesn't help me I find. Putting on this type of corrector has become a natural part of my routine: on before socks in the morning. I do take it off at night because the elastic over the hammertoe has to be tight enough to keep the toe pulled down and at the end of the day i can see the ridge and am concerned that it might constrict blood flow a little. But i find now that my foot is uncomfortable at night without it on and i'm looking for something a bit gentler for overnight. I suspect that i'm going to end up giving my toes a breather in the evening and then donning this corrector again for overnight. I really am more comfortable now with the corrector on than without. I wear it for a couple of days and then throw it in the washer (cold or warm). Then i air dry. I can reuse multiple times. I only throw away if i find the elastic has become loosened and, instead of keeping my toe down, it relaxes and no longer pulls down. This corrector works underneath all types of shoes. With dress sandals I make a choice: wear it and see the corrector peeping around my toes just a bit, or leave it off and see my big toe and second toe all crossed over.

Splint toe straightener
Works well.

Good quality. The Budin splint is a time-tested device.
Much better quality than the widely prescribed Pedifix device. The Budin splint is a time-tested device. Helps reduce mild soft tissue deformities, and the metatarsal pad helps relieve plantar pressure on the metatarsal heads. It loses one star just to remind buyers that rigid and longstanding deformities will not improve and may require reconstructive surgery.

Most Painful Toe Aligner I've Ever Used
I had high hopes for this item after reading some of the reviews, especially the ones relating to "floating" toes. I tried this item on my floating toe. It was NOT comfortable but I figured I could wear it around the house, under my socks and maybe get some benefit from it. After 10 minutes, my foot was really beginning to feel uncomfortable and when I took off my sock, thinking I needed to adjust the aligner, I was shocked to see my second toe turning PURPLE. Scared the heck out of me. I ripped the item off my foot and quickly began massaging my toes. I cannot recommend this item at all, and I've tried every one out there that identifies with floating toes. Other than surgery, I'll just have to live with it and keep using the elastic bands that bind my big and second toe together. They work better than anything else I've tried and you can actually wear them with shoes.

Material Stinks After One Use
After one use the material smells bad. My socks don't stink, my feet don't stink, my shoes don't stink but somehow this material smells bad after one day use. I am going to try a different brand next time. Functionally they were fine. Over time it does wear out because the strap won't stay tight, but that might true of any product with this design.

Lo compré a mi esposo y lo usa a diario cuando camina mucho. Le gusta y le ha sido útil, es cómodo de usar y le está ayudando a enderesarle el dedo. Lo recomiendo.

Thick unflexible pad
Much thicker and more uncomfortable than other brand that I bought. Not happy with this product.

Loved this very much and extremely satisfied with my order. It surely does keep the toe straight.

The general idea is good. I've tried loads of these types of products to alleviate a hammer toe. I've also been to see a chiropodist and my doctor about it. This is the best model yet. However... the sole cuts into one's foot. As you can see on the photo your big toe will be lying half on and half off it. So, I reused the tape and bought a cheap foam insole from Boots and made two holes in it, threaded the tape though and secured on one side using a sewing machine, to replicate this one but with a comfy sole. Result a perfect device, no more pain - which is why I've given it 5 stars here. Note - don't keep the strap too tight for to long or your toe will start to hurt.

I haven't used it yet, but it looks like a good product. Everything as described. I recommend the seller.

Did like this product. Thought at first it was going to be a good product but, the elastic didn't stay put & if I tightened it then it would hurt my toe because it was too tight & the pad didn't stay in place either
