(NO Chip) Compatible Toner Cartridge W2210A 207A HP W2210A 207A for use with HP Colour LaserJet Pro M255, MFP M282/M283 series in 4 colours (Black, Cyan, Yellow, Magenta)

The product appears it is compatible and when it arrives you are given some pliers, tweezers and a leaflet to tell you how to destroy your old cartridge, remove the chip and reinstall it into the new cartridge. This is not only time consuming but does not work - there was no 'click' when repositioning the chip which meant it was not aligned and the printer continually says supply error.

It is impossible to remove the chips (chips are glued in place) from the HP OEM cartridge as shown in the instructions and put into this product. Waste of money

The instructions that come with the cartridges are very good, follow them EXACTLY. I had a problem getting the chips to stay in the correct position so that they registered and had to resort to a tiny piece of Blutac to secure them. Also be careful they don't fall out and you spend a hour looking round the floor for one. Once installed with Blutac they registered and worked. The cyan cartridge left a couple of blue specks on the printed page but a wipe of the roller quickly cured that. Tools (pliers/cutter & tweezers) included which is a nice addition. Summary: if you are capable and don't mind a fiddly job of changing the chips and have the patience to do so, then I think these cartridges are value for money and do the job. Follow the very good instructions EXACTLY though, as the chips are directional and need a specific alignment.

These came with snips and tweezers. You have to remove the chip from your old carriages and fit them to these. Easy job but fiddly. The chip doesn't lock in tightly, so a bit concerned that the chip will move so packed it out with small bits of paper.
