It doesnt smell like mint, its basically moth balls...stinks

Had a squirrel chewing his way into the house behind a trim board outside. Tried steel wool and all that stuff and he would just pull it out and carry on. I got these and hung two of them about ten feet apart behind the trim board. Since then I have not heard or seen the squirrel up there. I am guessing that since it is a somewhat closed space, the smell is pretty concentrated in there. Yes, it definitely smells more like mothballs than peppermint but it works and it is outside so I'm not concerned with what it smells like.

Wanted to repel rats. Did not work well

We had squirrels nesting in car engine area and nested in our heater. We tried MANY of the DIY that supposedly worked—not our squirrels. The squirrels laughed at all the things we tried. Then we bought these!! Squirrels GONE in a couple days! We’ve replaced the repellent a couple times and NO squirrels!

This item smells horrendous!!! The description falsely states that this item smells like peppermint; IT DOES NOT! It smells like pure, mothballs and hazardous, toxic chemicals. My lungs are on fire! I had to leave my house because I the scent was so strong!!! I repeat, DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT! This smell will linger in your house and the smell will not dissipate. This is complete false advertisement snd shame on Amazon for allowing this company to provide false advertising to their customers. This is absolutely criminal! This does not smell like peppermint; I can’t emphasize this enough!
