Backcountry Grain Free Cuts in Gravy Recipes

This maybe the third favorite for my cats but still a great choice. As always the nuggets are just the rights size for my older ones and my younger. Bowl always goes empty with them.

My lil bubz is a healthy weight, has a healthy coat, & is a long strong zoomie boy. I've been feeding this to my lil monster of love since he stopped nursing on his feral momma a few weeks after his captured/rescue. He wants to be a kibble junkie but he loves this stuff so we found a middle high ground. It's been increasingly hard to find this brand's products in nationwide mega corporate retail shops, but some independently owned small and family businesses carry it if you get lucky. The kitten one was like kitty crack if you offer it to him to this day I think it takes him to his happy place of back country roads & his feral mountain mama. I get every flavor offered for him and cycle through them in various methods. Every now again he does refuse to eat one and I always assume it's his quality control practice of refusal maybe from a pin sized hole that I missed while inspecting product packaging before feeding. Every now and again the individual packages are not sealed airtight from a defect in packaging during heat sealing process I think, not entirely sure, but it happens often enough in a year where I have learned squeezed packages to check for air pressure and rub package to see if any juices escaped from squeezing then give it a sniff to make sure it passes sniff test. My favorite quality control tester is him. If he doesn't want to eat it after an hour or two I toss it to be safe. If he says it's bad but he's hungry I give him a different flavor and he gobbles it down with no protests. Many times there is nothing wrong with the quality it's just a preference of flavor for breakfast vs dinner. Beef or whitefish for breakfast is offensive to him at times and he prefers poultry & rabbit options for breakfast. Thanks for making a product my cat enjoys that also makes big strong healthy kitties. Quality control aside I'm here for the next 14-20 years lol even without major retailers supporting shelf space for these products.

My cat is a food snob when it comes to high quality items but will eat other cheap food that makes his breath stink and gives him horrible gas lol. I found this and while it’s expensive it’s worth it. He loves the chicken and will only eat that flavor. But he just loves it and it has given him a nice healthy coat and no bad kitty breath or farts. I had one box come that was really watery but aside that no real issues.

my kitty, Rosie, loves this and tells me that she NEEDS this first thing every morning in order to start her day well. She doesn't want me to forget it, nor does she allow me to start my day until I've given her her morning pouch. The ingredients are good and nutritious, it's got a nice gravy that is enjoyable and it seems to fill her up for about half a day, or at least a good 3 hours until she demands more food (and then she only gets dry food for the rest of the day, with bits of the gravy with water added to the dry food through the day.)

Our two cats gobble this food up! It is fairly expensive so I can’t afford it for their total diet, but I feel great feeding them at least one bag per day. I enjoy dealing with bags vs cans!

Have a little outdoor cat that visits for dinner. Not sure if she is feral or just a mooch! She doesn’t like dry food (smart cat), so pouches are convenient for me. Started with the variety pack which was good except for the duck flavor. That had a weird consistency and she wouldn’t touch it. Looked like those pouches were perhaps the bottom of the batch. Went with a single flavor box and she and I are both happy

Changed them over to Merrick rabbit both pate and back country. They limit eating anything else. Stomachs are better also. We’ve tried the chicken but it’s the rabbit they go for. We’ve found it’s the Merrick rabbit they go for as we’ve tried other rabbit with very mixed results.
