Tube Heater used in Outdoor Bird Aviary
Bought this tube heater to use in an outdoor bird aviary, not to heat it up but take the chill off and it works a treat. It keeps the aviary at a steady 10 degrees Celsius (50F) even on the coldest of nights. The heater gets very hot to the touch! I put a mesh frame around mine to stop the birds getting burned although you can buy a ready made protective shield. These tube heaters are ideal for Geenhouses or sheds etc, not sure they’d heat up a room though. I’ve plugged mine into a timer although you can leave them turned on 24/7. They are very cost effective, not using too much energy. Caution! When you first use this heater smoke will appear from around the cable entry point, don’t panic! this is normal! All tube heaters do this, it’s just anti-rust grease burning off which is used during manufacturing, after around 5 minutes it stops. I would definitely recommend this tube heater.

Excellent! Simple!
This is excellent! Simple! 60W gets warm enough to almost not be able to touch it. I've bought mine for my mini-camper van. Just to take the edge off. I need to not run down my battery.

The Morris Tubular Heater (3ft)
If you are looking for a cost-effective, simple-to-use heating solution for a small toilet or similar space, the Morris Tubular Heater 3ft is an excellent choice. It effectively takes the chill off, helps prevent damp, and runs quietly and efficiently throughout the winter months. The unit is compact, which makes it ideal for confined areas, and the heat it generates is sufficient for smaller rooms but may struggle with larger spaces. Although durability could be improved, as mine needed replacement after two winters, its overall lifespan is reasonable for the price point. Operating the heater is straightforward. Just keep in mind you may need to replace it after a couple of years of regular use. Based on my experience, I would still recommend it to others in similar situations.

No stars!
Pathetic product! Absolutely useless heating tube. I chose the 1ft heating tube because I needed it to fit in a very small gap behind our cupboard to stop the re-occurrence of damp. The tube heats up to around 80 degrees and then almost instantly cut out and cools down to 40 degrees and then a few minutes later it heat up again. It is very, very slow at heating up and even though it reaches 80 degrees for a few seconds you can barely feel any heat off it, no way would this stop damp. I have another heating tube that stays at a constant 80 degrees which has stopped damp in another part of our home. “Why didn’t you order the same heating tube as the good one you own?” I hear you ask. Well, I went onto my order history and order the same tube but instead I got this piece or rubbish. On top of everything, I had to pay to return the useless pile of junk even though I ordered it on Prime. Find another heating tube and save yourself a lot of time, money and hassle. Edit: I have now purchased the Elixer Garden 30cm low energy heating tube from another website, it is however sold here on Amazon. It is perfect for the job of combating rising damp. The tube is a little wider in diameter but that make no difference to me. I chose the one with the digital thermostat because the heat is most consistent. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07GFNP8MY/ref=twister_dp_update?ie=UTF8&th=1

Very effective heater..surprised me how well it heats for such a small amount of power use.
The product is suitably packaged, arrived safely and is exactly what I would expect in terms of quality for the price point. It is a robust plastic tube and is an extremely effective little heater. I am using it to provide warmth in a heated cabinet project (approx 1m3 capacity) and it is more than adequate for this job. Please note, it is either on or off, there is no variable power control or thermostatic setting function built in. Heating a room...I haven't tried, but assume it would not be enough. There are larger sizes, I would say for large spaces like a room of a house or a garage, get the largest. You can always wire it to a thermostat after all.. Fairly certain it would keep a small shed or greenhouse from freezing if positioned centrally, although again this hasn't been tested by myself. Sensible cable length with proper moulded plug which is nice quality. The brackets are plastic and although they could be stronger they are perfectly adequate for holding the lightweight heater. They would probably not stand up to much impact, but the heater should not be placed in a vulnerable position anyway! All in all very happy, it is more than adequate for my requirements!
