The media could not be loaded.  This set of two lights require minimal assembly to set up, you open up the feet of the tripod and screw in a mount and then the light and you’re ready to go.The light is powered by a usb plug that has a control pad to switch on/off and control the intensity of light. I have made a video of this to show you. At full intensity the light is very very bright in fact you can’t look at it, it’s so bright.The tripod is a good tabletop size with some adjustment available in both height and angle of the light itself.The power lead is a decent length and certainly fit for purpose.There is a choice of filter which is interchangeable, white, blue, red or yellow. I have shown an example of a photograph taken without and with a light using the white filter.I find these lights a handy size and powerful. I think that they are perfect for photography, film, video streaming, art and make up.At £35.99 (May ‘22) and currently with a 20% off voucher that brings each light in at about £14.40. This is a reasonable price for a decent set of lights.

Tripod stands are too small for anything except stop-frame animation. I had to attach these to proper tripods.Otherwise I’m impressed with the ease of use and the light they give out.

My first impressions were: wow that was quick (delivery) and, wow this is lightweight. 700 grams! When I had experimented with making videos I had bought the bigger stuff, with 2m stands etc, and they took a lot of space up in the room and also a lot of storage room.So, I had mixed feelings anticipating the quality. Did lightweight imply flimsy? I was in for a pleasant surprise. The tripod is lightweight and sturdy. I discovered that when you extend the tubes a simple slight twist locks the height, ie there is no screw. The light is multiple directions with screws. It even comes with a printed instruction manual, in microscope print as usual, and in this case, not needed. The lighting is 1000 Lumens, which is not much except that you use these lights close up, and they do not dazzle.I really appreciated that the diffusion filters actually worked: you cannot see the LED spots as in many lights I know of. The filters are easily changed, if you have dry fingers. I appreciated the way you can control the brightness, using physical buttons in the switch. The cables are also a generous 2 metres long.Note, to be clear and avoid false expectations. There are no batteries. The lamps are run off the USB. When I tried plugging them both into the USB sockets on a mains socket, only one light worked. So you need to have a dedicated powered USB source, and there are many to choose from. I plugged them into Anker USB Plug Charger 2 USB size and had no problems. I tried out my energy consumption meter. On maximum power one light was 13 Watts and two lights were 16 Watts.So this is a good piece of entry level kit. Instead of lighting from a distance, you light close up. They work well for portrait mode, close up. If you ever want bigger kit then they are still useful as extra filling lights. With a powerpack + several USB slots you could power a mobile phone and do those mobile shoots.

Look good and do what they should. One worked perfectly the other flickers occasionally and turns off so guessing a poor connection somewhere that a but of re soldering should fix it. Coloured filters are great and you can mix them up to make other colours. lights very bright on full. Have them 3 stars as need to sort the one out and they feel a bit cheap. But yes I would recommend them.

This is quite an interesting lighting set. Based around two lighting heads consisting of a bank of LED's these quite compact lights can produce quite a good level of light. Having said that, they are not really suitable for full studio use - for example a fashion shoot, but if used for example as lighting for product shots or similar they are ideal. Other prime uses of these lights would be to light yourself or product if you are making a promotional video for use on YouTube or similar.Out of the box you will find two lighting units, a set of coloured filters for each unit and a pair of small tripods. The light units themselves are powered from a normal USB power source which could be anything from a USB wall charger, a PC or even a power bank if you are away from wired sources, say for example out in the countryside where you could use them to light plants or creatures for macro shots.However their real strength is to be used in an indoor environment with a light tent to create perfectly lit pictures of products to form advertisement material or similar. In this form the small tripods (they stand between 10" and 12" tall) really come into their own as they can place the lights at the perfect height for use in a studio or on a desk. If you want some special effects the supplied filters can be clipped to the front of the lighting units to produce say a coloured backdrop to take pictures of products against.While as earlier mentioned they are not really suitable for studio shoots due to the limitations of their size they can indeed be useful for portraiture shots if mounted on some taller tripods - ones used normally to support cameras would be ideal for example. Or, if you have no other tripod options you could of course use the supplied small ones and place the lights on a suitable piece of furniture or similar to provide light at the height required. They could also be used with reflectors to bounce the light and modify the quality of the light if used in this manner. Another big advantage of these lighting units is that being LED powered their power consumption is very low and they run much cooler in comparison to traditional studio lighting units and as already suggested could be used in scenarios where traditionally mains powered lights would not be suitable. Also thanks to their small size they are eminently portable and could potentially be carried in a camera gadget bag 'just in case'.Overall I think they have a place in any photographer or videographers kit bag and give you some additional useful options at a great price.

I am far from recommending it because it looks and feels worthless, it was made of a very low quality material and made as cheap as possible resulting in a product that I believe to be useless.It does work but very poor result.
