I remember summer nights spent at my grandparents' cabin. I have many fond memories of time spent there, but some of my favorite times were spending lazy afternoons reading in a hammock with the sun filtering down through the leaves of the beech, oak, and maple leaves, and sleeping on the screened in porch listening to the loons calling across the lake through the night. Both of these were accompanied by the gentle sounds of wind chimes. My grandfather had been an engineer in the navy, and a civil engineer when he was discharged, and among the many things that he made with his own hands was a set of wind chimes he made for my grandmother. He made them from lengths of aluminum pipe, which he cut, balanced, and adjusted to be tuned perfectly.We have tried a few times over the years to find a set of wind chimes which would replicate those which my grandfather had made, but nothing has come close... until now. Other wind chimes do not have great durability, usually with the aluminum tubes too thin to both last and provide a deep, rich tone. Other wind chimes have thinner tubes, and they corrode or get aluminum rot fairly easily. Other wind chimes have unreliable strings and get tangled easily. But these are different. Let me tell you about it.Construction: The tubes of this set of chimes are thick and durable. The wood parts are finished, stained, and sealed. I chose a color that works well with our home and complements the wood tones of the rocking chairs on our porch. The nylon strings, so far, seem stronger than the usual fishing line type string that is used in many other wind chimes. There's an adjuster to place the striker at the perfect height.Look: We bought a set that is black with dark wood tones which compliments our house well, but there are multiple different color options to choose from.Value: We bought these during Amazon Prime Day(s), but even outside of that special sale, these are at a great price. With some items you have to sacrifice quality to get a good price, but not so for these; you get an excellent set of wind chimes at a price lower than many other sets.Tone: The tone is melodic, cheerful, and whimsical, bringing nostalgia of days gone by. The sound is not "tinny" or "tinkly," more like tubular bells than jingly keys. It makes for great background music as we sit on our porch on a breezy afternoon reading and watching the world go by.Nostalgia: These are not the wind chimes that my grandfather made. Those, like him, are lost to the past. However, when we sit, rock, read, and listen, I can remember those times.

Beautiful. Love the color. The look. Sound is soothing. Brings back memories of long ago, grandmas house across the beach, salt air. Variety of colors to choose from. Great price. Solid piece. Already assembled, straight from the box and onto a hook. I wanted something for my porch, to add to a welcoming, to my home.

I love this windchime! I knew the measurements so was expecting what I received. The sound is lovely, not tinny, and the the wood and tubes are of good quality materials. Great price too!

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I bought this wind chime because it wasn’t too expensive and for the size. It seems to be well made and has beautiful deep rich tones.

I received my package on time. The packaging was impressive and the chimes are on my back porch now. Unfortunately we haven't been getting much breezes since I hung it but I went out and gently pushed on it. I think the gentle breezes will sound best. Love it!

For some reason it’s a lot shorter than I thought - the string is really long but that’s it. However it’s still a decent size and beautiful. I picked turquoise and we love sitting outside listening to the music it produces.

Absolutely beautiful. I love the deep chime it puts off with a gentle breeze. It was easy to hang, the quality is great. It also has an adjustment piece so that it doesn't chime.
