Tubular Skylight Kit 13-Inch with Instructions and 25 Year Warranty Y

I looked at all the pictures and finally took the chance on these lights. I wasn't sure if they would bring in enough light. My last house had walls full windows. This one was made in the 80's. They didn't believe in windows. If you're moderately skilled the install is easy (1-2 hours). They've been working for 9 months through several big storms and a freeze (No issues). A small will light up a bathroom very well. The large light is supposed to light up 250sf. My estimate is closer to 150sf. I do want it bright though. These lights have a Aluminum boot on top. this is a MUST in TX. i am not worried about sun damage and hail. This will last!

Good product, but I purchased the wrong model (2 ea) and because I didn't open/install it within the return time-frame, I had to modify the structure of the ceiling to make it work. I also was missing installation hardware package (screws, foil tape, top and bottom gaskets, etc) from both units, which caused a 3-day delay in installation. This was particularly impactful because I wanted to install it DURING my re-roofing job, but had to do it after the fact instead, adding more days to my project timeline.

There was a choice between 10 inch and 13 inch skylights as my ceiling joists were only 14 inches apart in the desired location of the skylight. I made the wrong choice. It's in a kitchen that is about 13 x 18 feet. During the middle of the day the light is overwhelming. In addition, at the location of the skylight you can actually feel the heat of the sun coming from the light. For a larger room this light would be great. It also might work better with higher ceilings (mine are 8 feet). The installation was not difficult with the exception of cutting the hole in the roof which took several attempts to get a hole the pipe would actually fit through. The method the instruction describe did not work well for me.

Very bright. I put 2 in a large room with a 14 foot ceiling. Almost too much light. Easy install if you have good skills and the patience to measure accurately. You may also need an elbow since most roofs are not flat. Excellent product.

I paid someone to install it ,he took like one and half hour to finish.my living room was so dark (14x24)to the point that make me feel sad ,now its so bright that i keep thinking to turn the light off.and very pleased with this product,,i want a smaller one for the bathroom.

Installed it in our bathroom that is located in the center of the house. Gives a great amount of light in this space. Definitely recommend this product.

we put this in a small home office that was quite dark ..... this made a huge difference ..... it's quite a bright pleasant place to be now!!
