Bought our first Kittmip animal repeller two years ago to keep deer away from our Hosta landscape plants. It worked great for a radius of about 30 feet. As we expanded our landscape we had to find a way of protecting rose bushes and flower beds in other areas of our yard so we bought two more repellers. All my neighbors have given up on Hostas and flower beds because of aggressive eating by the numerous deer in my neighborhood. One of the new repellers stopped working after one week. I returned the defective repeller and got a replacement quickly from the vendor through the Amazon return process. So far the new repellers are working normally. I will update if any future issues.

This item was of no value to me. It did not perform as advertised. It repelled NOTHING, it deterred NOTHING!, it did NOTHING! Did I say Nothing, well I mean Nothing!!! If I could have taken a picture of these two cats in the zone and right in front of this device I would have so you could see the party they were having. Needless to say, I’m returning this item for a full refund.

Does not repel squirrels like it says

Literally it was a surprise to see one of my Airbnb guests get freaked out when I played back surveillance videos of the yard. We were having a problem with feral cats and neighborhood cats out prowling at night so I thought I’d try these. Tracked the cats and animal in video and it worked with the cats for a few weeks but they seem to be getting used to them and not frightened as much anymore.However we had one Airbnb guest who jumped because of these and he was really startled and frustrated by the sound. He remarked about it and I worried it would affect people. His partner, however could not hear it. So I presume the sound is only really audible to some people.I’m not sure if I will keep these. I need to make sure I get something that will keep the cats away permanently.

I like thatthis only uses ultrasound and no flashing lights. I’ve used these for a number of years and they do seem to keep the deer out of my garden and away from my hosta.

We live in a suburban area of Houston and our security camera recently picked up a lot more wildlife traffic at night. Especially worrisome are raccoons, which have caused damage to our roof before. We see 2 or 3 every night, in addition to the usual possums and stray cats. Given our history with raccoons, I bought these Ultrasonic Animal Motion-Activated Repellent spikes, and planted them right where the animals pass by the house, about 3 to 4 feet away. After about a week, the verdict is in: they do not work. The camera clearly shows that animals are not bothered by the spikes at all. They just walk by them, totally undeterred. Raccoons, possums, cats or squirrels. A red sensor light appears, and a low noise can be heard, so the deterrents function. But they do not work, in the sense that they do not bother any of the animals that happen to walk right in front of them.

Bought to use to scare unwanted animals off of the property. The owner is a cancer survivor and can’t be around animals. The product does work.
