Crucial BX500 2.5 inch 240GB Serial ATA III QLC 3D NAND SSD - Solid State Drives (240GB, 2.5", 540MB/s, 6Gbps)

Very good, still works very well and is very quick.

Used to replace a 2017 hard drive in a laptop that was taking forever to boot with windows reporting 100% throughput even after 10minutes, The laptop now boots to the desktop in around 60 seconds with this ssd. Well worth the update.

Bought to revive an old server with TrueNAS - Didn't really need 240GB of space for this but the price was right. Install was easy - a good trick for mounting these SATA SSDs is to use velcro pads to stick them wherever is convenient in your case, leaving drive bays free. Speed I never tested but it boots fast and runs smoothly so far. As for it's longevity we will see but Crucial/Micron are usually reliable. Overall happy with the drive, probably wouldn't use this as a boot drive for a full OS and opt for a bigger drive (or better an NVMe if you have a slot) but it's far better than an HDD in terms of responsiveness

L'unico disco "economico" che a distanza di anni non ha mai dato problemi. Ne ho presi altri di altri brand, sempre "economici" e puntualmente dopo poco tempo le prestazioni cominciavano a degradare e alcuni sono proprio morti senza nessun preavviso con conseguenza perdita di dati. Con questo Crucial non dico che non possa accadere ma per esperienza personale fino ad ora mai un problema.

This brand is great, some solid state drives are cheaper but they don't last long. I've been working with this brand for years, even with a Mac.
