This is a really great set of multi-tasking kitchen shears. First and foremost, the main function as kitchen scissors is done very well. They beat out the regular kitchen shears that I already owned. These are sharp and cut very easily, are comfortable to hold, and that bottom blade is angled so you can easily slide under something to cut.As two individual knives, these aren't the high quality super-sharp knives that you would own individually. The larger chef's knife cuts relatively well and easily, but was not sharp enough to do delicate cuts. The smaller serrated blade is great for if you have to sort of saw into something hard, but it's also not particularly sharp. However, I don't consider either of these to be big flaws for the shears. In my opinion, this multi-tasking set of pieces works well because it IS a set. The scissors are great and the blades do the job, and you get all three in one small package. These would be ideal for situations where you want to pack light and conveniently, such as camping or for someone with small kitchen space. For example, if you go camping, you now have heavy duty scissors and two knives that also come in a protective container so you don't have to wrap up or store your regular knives in transit.All in all, I think these shears are a great choice due to their convenience. If you want the sharpest and highest quality knives, you would want to buy the knives as individual pieces, anyway. For the clever combination of these kitchen tools, it is a great value.

You just can't beat the price on these! The shears are sturdy and comfortable to use. The blades are sharp and will probably cut through anything, but so far I've mostly used them on pizza. I've gone through several pairs of kitchen shears over the years and most are just too flimsy for serious use (not pizza - I'm talking about cutting up those birds, lol). They split so you can use them just like a regular knife and one blade is even serrated. I love that they come with a finger guard for when you do choose to utilize them as knives, because I can be a wee bit clumsy and can use all the protection I can get. The blade cover ensures they will remain sharp and protected when not in use. They arrived in a nice, presentable box that is perfect for gift giving.

I've had regular scissors, and those herb cutting scissors, too many different types of scissors! That is why I really like these heavy-duty kitchen shears from The Drawer. First, be careful -- they are sharp! That is why the protective sleeve for storage is really nice touch. I used them for pizza the other night (I don't have a pizza cutter) and it worked great. Pretty much will cut anything that will fit between the blades like butta. I needed green onions the other night. After I washed and trimmed them, I held a whole bunch in my hands and cut them really fast with these shears, right into my dish; no cutting board needed. They come apart to use like a knife too, with seemingly endless uses but I haven't got that advanced yet. I plan on getting rid of a bunch of knives and will have a lot more space in my drawers on account of my new The Drawer kitchen shears! I HOPE they stay sharp if I take care of them and hand-wash. My husband said he will sharpen them for me when they do need to be sharpened so hopefully I will have them for a long time. They seem to be very well made and so far, I am very pleased. **I have not used the included stainless steel finger protector yet but may in the future when I figure out how to use. **

Super sharp. Sturdy. Come apart for thorough cleaning. These kitchen scissors are great. The quality and materials are excellent. I use them almost daily for kitchen chores, in the garden and for opening those cursed blister packs that are practically impossible to open. The offset handle means you can get more of the blade onto the blister pack and there is no struggle to cut it when operating them. I have arthritis in the base of my thumb joint and I don't have any issue with using these as the super sharp blades do all the work. Even has a handy bottle cap opener...I have never had to use it, but it's bonus feature that doesn't affect the product performance in any way. Very pleased with this purchase, reasonably priced and I can forsee using these for many years.

Do not really work as well as other reviews stated. They serve their purpose, but I would not call them heavy duty.

The kitchen shears from The Drawer were a really nice surprise for me right from the start. At first, it was the box...when I opened it, I felt like I've received a gift, with the ribbon and the thank you card and everything. And, second, it was nice to see that the product was exactly what I expected...high quality when it comes to the materials used and really sharp blades. These shears are really good quality. I already use it everyday in the kitchen for splitting or cutting chicken and turkey and it works great. And I'm happy they came with a plastic blade guard, which is a really great idea. My old shears got damaged in the drawer because of all the other utensils around it. And, finally, my wife is happy we got a finger guard as a gift because she can finally cut and chop vegetables without ruining her manicure.

I love a good pair of kitchen shears and these are fantastic. These are an everyday kitchen gadget in our home. I have used them to help chop/cut leafy greens and meat with ease. I like that you can also remove a blade and use as a knife. The shear guard gives me a peace of mind that my little ones won't reach in the kitchen door and cut their hand by accident. These shears are easy to clean, easy to use, and heavy duty. I don't foresee needing a new pair of shears for quite some time.
