Nice, affordable boots
I tried these shoes on locally so that I could purchase the proper size. After purchasing two pair of Hoka and returning them I needed some assurance. These shoes are comfy I opted for going up 2 sizes to accommodate custom insoles and thick socks. I love a more roomy feel, but my feet don’t slip around in the boot, I lace them up snug but not too tight. These didn’t require any breaking in, they were great right of the box. The price was a steal I got them for less than $50. Very important as I’m not sure I’ll need them much, the boots were purchased for a one time hiking trip so we’ll see if I like hiking or the boots enough to keep them in use! The boots seem durable although I haven’t worn them much. I do think they are nice looking, light enough for being a boot and functional.

love the classic look for a hiking shoe
I've tried a lot of different hiking shoes on lately and these are hands down the best. They have good ankle support but literally feel like a sneaker. I thought I'd have to do some major breaking in before taking them out for a good hike but I actually didn't at all. Fits true to size, great traction. For the price, the comfort, and the quality, you just can't beat it. Buying again!

Had to Stop Counting Frogs & Found a Prince & Friends!
I read the reviews wherever I could find them. I had become very confused over the sizing. I have a hard enough time getting the right size without this much of a difference thrown at me too!I was in love @first glance, beautiful dark gray with aqua strings. Ordered size 7 as suggested though I wear a size 6.5 or 6. Feet measures a size 5-5.5, L=8.5" R=8.7". There lies the rub, right foot doesn't fit sizes same as left one by a fraction so hit or miss. Also, remember, as you age, your feet spread causing sizing up like me to 6.5 in shoes, 7 usually in boots but style can put you back to regular size if they are rounded toe box or squared box mostly in western styles. Shoes strings are very helpful as they can be adjusted to make more room, not more length. Overall best choice in any type of foot covering is "Leather", your friend for stretching if little small as they will mold to feet. They state cushioned, I don't agree. I have my own & needed them! This is where you need to be aware of how much room they take up which usually is where your width will come into play. Just as socks take up space, so do inserts, sometimes a lot. At this point, you might want to try sizing down 1/2 and go with wide. As you go from traditional sizes to wide, every size up in wide, i.e., from size 6 down to 5W adds another fraction of an inch to length, keep this in mind when options are limited, you might find a happy 'medium' in a smaller size wide (haha).Back to the size sessions; First was great price on 7's, looked order back up and saw ordered from warehouse! Wow, what a great mistake... for my sis! You MUST try & always make such great mistakes, was much less, new & 30 day return (check to make sure.) They were too great a price, so sis got them for Xmas, she was gaga over them. Done & done.Next, I ordered size 6, suggested 6.5, too bad, too big but kept just in case.... the size 5's I was ordering now, 3rd try, didn't fit even though suggested I wear a 6 now! Well the 5's came and went, that fraction of inch on R foot, felt fine, but only for few minutes, just fraction too small in toes based on R foot!Last and 4th time! Wow! That tells you how badly I wanted these shoes, they just checked off too many boxes to let them go without a good fight. The 5.5's I was sure would fit in a WIDE, had been costly, at over $100 if remember correctly. Figures! Only size left & at most expensive price! Waited a day later, 5.5W's & more sizes had come in, ordered them up and got them in about a day. Crossed fingers as I thought they were a yes. I have them on now, they feel like they should have been on my feet the whole time! So, the size 5.5W is my size w/just enough room for thick socks or thinner ones. I live in Florida, though kids live in Denver & Boise & France. These will work out fine for all places as it is warm today here & fit & feel great!Updated: 12/1/23, getting later, quicker! After size 7, 6, 5W, 5.5W and guess what? Another size 6 was ordered at new price 1/2 off all others, came few days later. Wondering what was wrong w/1st size 6's? Nothing, just needed to make sure of correct size due to computer blindness, too much shopping. I was getting goofy and thought perhaps all in my head, being too careful. I was traveling to snow country & would need thicker socks made all the difference, not to mention the inserts.Merry Christmas Folks! Good Luck with your sizing, hope this finally solves some problems???Footnote(ha!): Embarrassed, after wearing the size 6's for almost 2yrs, have held up excellent. But I began wondering if I shouldn't have gotten smaller size? Only in wide. I tried from 5-5.5W & I ended up ordering a 5W, 3 more pairs! I couldn't figure what the heck? I think losing 20+lbs helped. There's only 1 dilemma sizing from regular sizes to wide, 'additional' room throughout/around entire toe bed & instep you 'gain' in addition to length. Wide isn't actually shorter sized in comparison to regular size, they're actually a fraction of inch longer. I suppose it's adjustment is due to overall wider girth? Just keep in mind in case you can't get your size, you may fit in smaller wide! Oh, were also about $30 each! Score!

These shoes are magical.
This photo is from after a full week of being a sponsor at a very rainy, very muddy week of church camp. These boots got muddy and very wet multiple times. I did not clean them or even wipe them down...they just repelled all the mud and water off themselves. It's magical.Aside from their magical properties, the fit and quality of these boots are incredible. The toe box is wide enough for my toes to feel very comfortable and not squished at all. I wear long socks with these, and my ankle doesn't get rubbed raw or feel sore/tender, even after wearing these all day for a week straight. These boots also have a great amount of support. As far as functionality, I can vouch for these being a great option for muddy, wet, rocky, and flat environments. They feel about as light as a normal pair of shoes, so it doesn't feel like you're having to drag your feet around. The colors are beautiful, too! I've had these for about a year, and they've stayed as vibrant as they were when I got them.If you're looking for a pair of hiking boots that are high quality, comfortable, aesthetically pleasing, feel like they will last a very long time, and won't break the bank, buy these shoes!

Alaska Hiking Win!
Bought these for a recent trip to Alaska! These were perfect for walking even around the small towns that we visited. We hiked up several mountains and the raining weather in Alaska was no problem for these boots. My feet never got wet! It wish they had a little more arch support but the high top kept my ankles from rolling which I am very prone to, but did not rub and cause discomfort. They were a little on the heavy side but not to bad. I think they are a great quality for the price you pay for them. I wear a size 9.5 and bought a 10 in these. Like I said only thing I wish was better was I wish there was more arch support.

If You Can Find These, Grab Them!
I’ve worn these boots on almost every hike for the past couple years, and they’ve seriously held up like champs. From rocky trails to muddy paths and steep climbs, they’ve given me great support, traction, and comfort every time. They’re lightweight enough for longer hikes but still sturdy and durable. The waterproofing has held up well too my feet stay dry even when I’m trudging through puddles or wet grass. It’s such a bummer they’re discontinued because I’d buy another pair in a heartbeat. If you can still find your size somewhere, don’t hesitate these boots are worth it!
