CD Review: NEW JERSEY!! Get This or else you will regret! Only a few brand new ones left.. - This release here is a rare and out-of-print japanese remastered 2 cd set of New Jersey. This is the 1988 number #1 album that cemented Bon Jovi as rock superstars! After Slippery when wet, the bands next release is a true gem! Nothing on this album falls short of it's reputation as being Bon Jovi's finest album in the late 80s pop metal era. Songs such as blood on blood will really touch you and who can forget the number 1 smash hit 'I'll be there for you.' Jon Bon jovi 's voice on this album is so classic..by listening to the songs homebound train, i'll be there for you and living in sin, there are vocal parts of those songs where i believe he was doing some very high falsetto vocals. This is his voice at his finest or vocal peak. As for this listing, i always thought that these bon jovi 2 cd japan releases were only available as used cds, i was wrong! i bought this here in desertcart from a great seller and got this album totally brand new even though it is very rare and out-of-print. Disc 1 we have the remastered version of the album. Disc 2 we get the bonus cd of these tracks; 1) Bad medicine (Live Wembley 1988), 2) Bad Medicine (Live Keep The Faith Tour), 3) Blood On Blood (Live Wembley 1988), 4) Born To Be My Baby (Acoustic Version), 5) I'll Be There For You (Live Lakeland 1989), 6) Lay Your Hands On Me (Live Giants Stadium 1989) & 7) Love Is War (Studio Outtake). Disc 2 is a keeper! Get this because it is one of the most essential albums you must have in your collection especially if it is a japan released version! There are only a few left being sold, so what are you waiting for?? Buy It! Review: Bon Jovi at their best! - Love Love Love this album! I owned this album in 89 as a 10 year old and recently re-bought it after watching the Bon Jovi documentary when I was reminded how good their earlier music is. With such classics as I’ll Be There For You and Wild is the Wind - I’ve been listening to this album on repeat!

Un CD para tener en la colección de bandas de rock de los 80’s
Me faltaba tenerlo y es uno de mis discos favoritos de BJ. Buen sonido y llegó en perfectas condiciones.

New Jersey Super Deluxe Edition
I bought the New Jersey Super Deluxe Edition and for the most part was a great hit. The Music is in high quality, the demo songs are pretty good and fun to listen too, I expect nothing less from them. My favorite part however has to be the DVD, it takes you back in time, behind the scenes and high strung emotions from everyone, as though you were really part of the band, detailing (in part) of the actions and work it takes to run a concert, sleepless nights, countless dressing room scenes and interviews, and all the magic in their hearts of what makes them great. The reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5 is because of the disappointing photo book (the main reason why I went with the more expensive edition). Its suppose to have "Never before seen" photos and all it was full of was promo pictures you could find anywhere, none that were really special and a lot of the good pictures were small. That is literally the only setback with the whole set. Other than that, I think its a great addition for any Bon Jovi Fan

Great double album, for a great price.
New Jersey was supposed to be a double-album (per the book included). Those familiar with New Jersey had 12 songs. The first cd of this collection has 15 songs, 3 more than the original release. The second disc has 13 songs. Some are kind of raw sounding as rough demos. These were the songs that were cut from the double-album idea. What a great double album. I purchased mine for under 5 dollars, brand new. A great deal for a Bon Jovi fan. A book included shows several pictures of the band, lyrics for the both albums, and a short story from Slippery When Wet to the making of New Jersey. This album brings back memories of when I bought this on cassette tape back in 1988!

Great Edition of a Sentimental Favorite....
Bon Jovi's "New Jersey" was the first album I ever purchased, on cassette at the time, when it was released in 1988. I upgraded to the CD version in the 90s. I still have both but when I saw this Super Deluxe CD/DVD set I jumped at the chance to add it to my collection. While I've somewhat "outgrown" Bon Jovi this set with the original album, bonus tracks, demos, book, and DVD with music videos and tour documentary illustrates why I believe Jon Bon Jovi was the last true rock star. Grunge was huge but the whole movement was anti-rock star. There were some great Alt-rock bands in the mid to late 90s but no one stood out as a superstar. The early 2000s gave us a bunch of generic pop-punk Green Day rip offs. And since then rock has descended into commercial obscurity. JBJ was the last rock mega-star and he, Richie, and the boys are on display in their full big-hair, pop-metal, power-ballad glory in this New Jersey Super Deluxe set.
