Great product, if you know what you're doing.
I've had this hard drive for a few months and it's fair to say that it's great. It moves fast and doesn't make a lot of noise either. However, there is something I need to mention. This is a large capacity high speed hard drive, so it needs power to do all those things, a LOT of power. For context: I have a 750W power supply, 11th gen i5 and an RTX 2080 Super with 32GB of RAM. The CPU and GPU are at stock speeds, and the CPU has an AIO cooler. The RAM is at 3200MHz with XMP.I used to have 3 hard drives and one sata SSD in my machine, but I had to remove them all to use this one alone, since it uses so much power. Adding just one back in will result in the hard drive to randomly shut itself off under load, and that has risk of causing data loss, as I've lost 2 partitions due to this.Overall a great purchase, but also a costly learning experience.

Very Nice HDD
Had this HD for over 2 years now and still going strong. Have about 20 games saved on it and still have over 2TB remaining. Makes minimal noise and I have not encountered any problems with any of the game I play. For context, in my machine I have (2) NVMe M.2's, this HDD, and another HDD with a 1000W power supply. Would recommend this product to others.

Seagate FireCuda 4TB SATA 5GB 7200rpm
In an age where NMVE and SSD have taken over, I bought this 4TB as it was a lot less expensive. Always go for 7200rpm for faster speed and make sure to use the 6GB SATA connector. Very quiet, fast, and I have had it working for 3 years with no issues. Have always trusted the Seagate brand since the 80's when I bought my first 20gb RLL hdd. Highly recommended at a good price.

Louder than the Barracuda drives
I haven't played a game with these drives yet. But I did use them to double the size of my drives in my PC. I had a 1TB HDD Barracuda drive (J) and a 3TB (K) one that I upgraded to the two 4TB Firecuda drives. I moved my Videos folder from my K drive to my J drive and it moved the files rather quickly, so in that respect they are faster than the Barracuda drives. However, I never really heard the Barracuda drives before. I can hear these Firecuda drives seek when I first turn on the computer and do something with them, like launch an app. Before I upgraded my OEM 256GB SSD to a 1TB SSD by another vendor I installed apps on my 3TB K drive. And that worked fine. The power intensive apps I launched from my SSD and less power intensive apps I launched from my HDD. And I never heard the Barracuda drives. I saw the drive lights on my PC, but didn't hear the drives. So, I'm a little disappointed that I hear these more expensive Firecuda drives. Having said that, it has only been momentarily when I first turn on my PC. I'll play a game and see how the drive behaves then.As for Seagate support. I initially had issues with my J drive. I didn't realize the 1TB drive was formatted MBR so when I cloned it, the Firecuda drive would not expand to its full size. I also was having trouble reformatting it and removing the drives, because Seagate tools created two drives on my PC. Support told me the drive was bad and to return it for a new one. I eventually figured out how to reformat the drive and get it to work as a GPT drive, remove the extra drive, and then I manually moved all of the files from my old J drive to the new Firecuda drive. So, I will give support 0 stars. They were not helpful.

Sports Model HDD
Blistering fast for HDDs of this size. Zero complaints, seagate drives have always been my go to. Personally owned about 6 over 13 years, I’ve always replaced them after 10, but have not experienced a single failure. My 2tb 10 year old seagate can still operate and reports as green in health scans, even though it’s clearly begging to be retired in its read speed. I just keep it in my backup computer in the closet. This firecuda can get hilariously loud though when it’s really working on writing large files as fast as it can. Loud to the point where I thought my wall radiator was acting up from what it sounded like, but it just turned out the be the hard drive. Made sense to me though when I saw its stock speeds: this thing is not tuned for noise but to be as fast as possible. That’s why I bought it, after all. When trying to read a lot of files quickly (loading large games) it sounds like any other healthy 7200RPM HDD, which is inaudible through headphones. I almost always have headphones on, but when they’re off I don’t notice the read sounds ever. If the program is constantly pushing the firecuda to 100% read usage, causing noticeable noise, it’s a program that specifies ssds as a requirement.Ridiculous HDD speeds, seagate reliability, and high capacity. I rely on this more than my ssd, since I want to keep those ssd cells as healthy as possible. Only files I need to access really fast or permanent files go on the ssd, everything disposable or games I’ll eventually delete goes to the hdd which doesn’t care as much about rewriting. Downloading large files is where this thing gets loud, everything else is standard 7200RPM volume levels. It is important to note that great, very high capacity ssds are becoming priced well. Choosing this over a typical 2tb seagate for burner files is a tough choice depending on where this is priced. While this is advertised as their more premium option, even their standard drives last 10+ years in straight up terrible conditions, under heavy, heavy usage.

So far so good
Used it as a backup for my ssd drive, it is faster than the BarraCuda and work as expected so far.
