Stop buying multiple $20/$30 rain jackets that won’t last and get this from Ruffwear. I trusted the brand for my labs in the past but their sizes have always been a bit too big for my 13 pound chihuahua rat terrier mixes. Not any longer! The XXS fits perfectly, for their length and chest. They seem comfortable walking around. The best part? They won’t end up peeing on the strap! That has been the worst part about other rain jackets for these little guys. This Ruffwear rain jacket is secured like a harness underneath. The color is a brighter yellow than in the picture, which is helpful for their safety. And there is a loop to hook on a light. I’m excited to try out the water resistance with our upcoming storms. Knowing Ruffwear’s quality products, I’m not worried.

I got this coat for my dog a while ago but hadn’t had the opportunity to really test it. It fits really well, and the chest part means my dog can’t shake it off. Love the panel at the bottom that lets the dog’s tail come through and move around freely. It’s got little rubbery straps that go under the dog’s back legs and prevent the coat from flying up in the back. I finally had the exciting opportunity to test it in some torrential rain and wind. Even though I almost drowned in the completely horizontal rain, this coat kept my dog dry everywhere it was covered. Her body is completely dry, it’s as good as a human raincoat. The space to allow a harness-attached leash did not let in any rain. I do wish it covered the head a little more, but I suspect no dog likes having their head covered, so that might be for the best. I’m very pleased with the coat, and my dog doesn’t hate it (that’s really the best anyone can hope for with my fussy dog).

I have tried other raincoats for my 70 pound golden retriever, but this is the only one he doesn’t complain about wearing! I wish it had more coverage on the legs but then again he probably would hate it. It fits really nicely and is very well made. It would be great for a dog without a lot of leg hair, but it works pretty darn well for my dog. Attractive and easy to put on my dog. Make sure you measure to get the right fit!

Purchased this for my 9mo old Labrador Retriever service dog in training. Looks professional (army green and blue) and fits well. The girth closures are a bit tricky but other than that no complaints. Well made product and does what it's designed to do. For reference her measurements are: Back length 25 in. Chest 27 in. Neck 19 in. Weight 65 lb. I purchased a size Medium. It covers her back and snugs up with the girth straps to keep her belly dry. Took one star off since the girth closures are a bit tricky to get fastened with a wiggly pup. Once she learns to stand still while it's being put on it should be easy.

I bought the yellow XL for my then 12 mo. 75 lb. GSD. It was a little big, but he is still growing (82 lbs now). It is a good jacket to keep the rain off all the main body parts. It doesn’t cover the back of his neck well though, but I still like it. I am happy it is lightweight as we live in the south. The straps are long so I have to tuck them where the closures are located. I tried using the leg loops, but honestly that didn’t work for us. I may actually cut them off so they don’t get in the way. I thought the cost was a little pricey, but I bought it anyway as the other options weren’t going to work.

Coming from Seattle where doggie raincoats are everyday gear from November to February, this was the perfect option for our 55 pound Aussie. Here's what you need to know: If you're looking for an every day, in-and-out rain coat, this is it. This coat is completely impermeable and dries out quickly. It goes on and off quickly and works great for multiple outings into the rain, whether it's a lot or a little. This coat is just rain protection. It's for furry dogs who can keep themselves warm but need to stay dry. The Cloud Chaser combines rain protection with insulation. HOWEVER, the Cloud Chaser absorbs the water and takes a while to dry out. We switched to this one because we needed something we could use it everyday, several times a day during rainy season. Medium fits perfect for a 50-60 lb dog measuring 26 inches neck to tail. The coat goes on and off easily. Most dogs will learn the drill and cooperate when it's what's standing between them and the outdoors. The underpart does NOT interfere with going to the bathroom. The belly belt and leg elastic keep it in place, even during play. We've already used it through one atmospheric river and multiple play dates. It's holding up and doing the job. Definitely recommend it.

The fit is great on my dog! Keeps her very dry, less work for me! It is constructed very thoughtfully and very well. It is more expensive than her old raincoat, but this one will last longer with no modifications.

Great jacket! Nicely water proof, easily adjustable, and my dog did not mind it at all, although he is used to wearing other types of coats. Really pleased with this purchase, just wish it came in more colors!

Absolutely love this rain jacket. My dog usually doesn’t tolerate clothing at all, but this one is lightweight, comfortable and doesn’t restrict movement. It covers the entire back perfectly, down to and over the thighs. Great quality, as expected from Ruffwear. I own several Ruffwear products and I’m more than satisfied. The only thing I’d wish for is an option to protect the leg fur as well, not the paw pads, but the fur itself. Highly recommended!

The raincoat is excellent quality. I have another rough wear raincoat for my other dog. The size large fits and 85 pound Labrador retriever. The medium fits a 65 pound golden retriever. I live in Arena climate and the coverage on the dog is excellent.
