The Mouse Tales CD Audio Collection (I Can Read! - Level 2)

Santa gave this CD to my 6-yr old daughter along with a copy of the Mouse Tales book (doesn't come with the CD). She and her 4yr old sister love listening to a few stories as they fall asleep at night. It keeps them from getting out of bed to come visiting me downstairs. I have to be careful though because in some instances, I have found that it makes my little one stay awake to listen to the stories which defeats my purpose. However, I have started using it in the mornings too. They are allowed one story while they lie in bed waking up, but then have to get up and start getting dressed if they want to avoid me turning it off. It helps them get conscious in the morning because they want to hear the story. It has helped me get them moving and get them up on time. Cute stories and nice reading by Arnold Lobel. My girls love it.

I haven't seen these in YEARS! My little sister picked up the Mouse Tales book and cassette at the bookmobile when we were little kids. She never really payed attention to it. So i put it on one night when I couldn't sleep. Needless to say it became so soothing that I'd listened to it until the tape broke. I had to fork over the money for it. But i will NEVER forget how soothing this is. I am going to send this to my niece and nephew in SC they will adore it. And for old times sake, I will even get a copy for me. THANK YOU AMAZON! If you have young children that love happy little stories, they will love you for getting this for them. :) I love the story about the mouse who took the bath with the water cleaning the whole town. Sooo cute! The music is charming too.

Gentle reading of this classic tale by the beloved children's book author Arnold Lobel. The ability for children (and their parents and grandparents) to hear this story again and again through the unabridged audio CD after a parent, teacher or librarian has read the book is a calming activity. Books on CD allow a child to find a favorite storybook, load the CD with book in hand, sit down and enjoy the retelling at home. As they become beginning readers they can follow along with the text. Listening allows a quiet time of listening, looking at the illustrations, and a great alternative to too much TV viewing or video. Don't forget to take along a few book/CDs on road trips for the whole family to listen to while driving.

My three year old recently received an audio CD from a fast food chain, so I played it for her. She enjoyed it very much, problem was, it was pretty short. So I visited Amazon.com to find full length audio CDs. She loves this one. The author of the text also reads the stories. It begins with a father mouse telling one story per each of his seven mouse children as they get ready for bed. The stories are short enough to hold her attention and she really has to focus to hear the story being told and what happens as the next one starts. This is a great disc to take in the car, especially if you allow the kids to control the car radio. It is a great break from kiddie tunes!

Brief stories, imaginative tales with quirky humor (a mouse that wore out his shoes so he got new feet), and the bonus of a reader who is very accomplished and also happens to be the author, all make this CD set a great buy. When we finally found the matching picture book, our little guy wasn't nearly as interested in the visuals as he was in the audio version. Warning: if the adults in the car don't enjoy it as much as I did, you will need to be prepared to endure this over and over again. From ages three to four, our grandson listened to it on every car trip, however short it may have been.

cute short stories for kids....enough humor so adults will enjoy listening along with the little ones

My niece is disabled and listens to books on CD often at her school. She had a birthday coming and I asked her various things she wanted for her birthday and stories on CD was one that she answered yes to. I ordered a few different stories and she listyened to this 3x in one day and many times since then.Great stories and the author is from one of her other favorites--Frog & Toad.

On this cd, the author, Arnold Lobel, reads his own stories. He provides different voices for each character and you can get the intended emphasis for each line. It was fun to listen to, but I still prefer to read it aloud to children myself. It's fun to do the voices too.

Mouse tales has become our family favorite.Our kids are all under 6 so the short and funny stories work really well for them while they are coloring or just eating lunch.I have really grown to love the stories too and Arnold Lobel does a great job of narrating the stories.

My kids (4 years old) keep asking to listen to this. They also love the Frog and Toad series.

これは、良いですよ。聞きやすいし、フレーズも計算さえれており、単語も覚えやすい。本とセットで結構ちゃんと親がついて教える分には最高の教材です。が、子どもだけで学ばせるのはしんどいかなぁ。
