Giro Bike-Helmets Giro Air Attack Helmet

I've had this helmet for a few years and it has been great. Its comfortable and gets plenty of airflow even on hot summer days. Ikeep my hair pretty short and I like that not much sunlight gets though. The only issue I've had is that the washable/removable sweatband fell apart after a while but after a quick call to Giro they mailed me a new one free of charge.

I have a small head. So I looked up the measurements and was on the very top end of the measurements for the small size. I ordered it and it fit just fine. This helmet is supposed to be more aero than other bike helmets by several watts and the price on Amazon is really good compared to other places I looked. I ride in AZ in 85+ degree weather regularly, and have no issues with the venting. This is a great compromise between a regular helmet and one of the aero alien ones. You know what I'm talking about.

i love the helmet. i think the main concern of the helmet is ventilation and there's enough even on very hot days. yes, some sweat will drip down from my head to my cheeks, but it's not a major thing. i had issue recently wear my shades would fog up, but i think that was more to do with how humid it was that day.all is all. i love the helmet.

This helmet is amazing. Comfortable fit, good range of adjustment for cold weather hat, long hair, short hair, etc. I'm sure it shaves 2-3 seconds off of my two mile commute to campus :-) It has also gotten several random compliments on the clean, good looks. A few people have mistaken me as a LEO as well-which isn't all bad when riding in traffic. Also, the rounded back was one of my biggest factors in this helmet as it is much friendlier on wearing a rain shell with a hood.

The fit is comfortable, and I personally love the style of it. The issue is that I (and several of my buddies) have had a little plastic post break off of the back/inside of the helmet where the adjustable plastic pieces meet. This makes adjusting the fit of the helmet around the top of your head a pain because only one side is adjusting while the other is loose. I will post a picture soon.

If you're borderline medium you can use a small which are discounted more & also more aero : ^)My head measures between 56 & 57 CM - a small is no problem even when I use a thin balaclava.Additionally, if you're so inclined there are some things you can do to further improve or extend sizing fitment to your head.

Nice light, attractive helmet for commuting use and the Amazon price is considerably better than you can find retail. Note this version is NOT compatible with the shield attachment, but the description makes that clear and I knew that going in. The shield adds nearly 60% to the price and doesn't seem at all worth that, the helmet alone does the job well.

I am very pleased with this purchase thus far. I bought this helmet for triathlon use, and while I have not had a chance to test it in that environment, I have been on a couple short rides with it. Comfort is good, and the wind drag on my head is reduced compared to my previous helmet (at least that's my perception). Only question mark at this point is whether it will be too hot later in the year. We'll see.
