It's a piece of plastic, with some pinned pigtails, so I thought it was a little pricey, but it definitely makes for a clean installation, so I think it's worthwhile. The wires are good quality, as is the head. I think there are some instructions, but I already had an idea what I was doing, so I can't recall if they instructions are good or not. Used on a 2014 Honda Civic, to replace the factory original single-DIN "CD + radio" unit -- anyone wanna buy it? x-D ).

This adapter uses internationally recognized cable colour codes which matched the colour codes on the Sony receiver I installed and therefore easy to match up. Once the adapter cables were connected to the receiver cables, it was just a matter of plugging the factory harness terminal into this adapter as well as the supplied antenna adapter. All worked out well.
