The Authors Make ItEasy
I often deal with complex legal documents in my line of work. Contracts are often complicated, but this book makes it easy to understand what makes a good contract and how to avoid painful mistakes. I didn't know what I didn't know until I read the book. The case law examples bring the advice to life with real world illustrations of what to do or avoid in contracting. The many positive reviews by accomplished experts in the field sold me on the book.

A must-have book for those dealing with contracts
I work in finance and was looking for a book to help me better understand how contracts work in terms of the management, allocation, and mitigation of risk. This book does that and more. Moreover, it addresses what can be a complex topic in an interesting way that makes it easy to read, understand and apply. The book addresses a variety of contracting pitfalls and provides guidance on how to do it properly. Highly recommended!

Not accurate description
Website did not match an accurate description of the book and its contents. I ordered it to help me create a contract playbook but the book was of no use for the purpose. They charged me for the return back as well!

Commercial Contracts Made Easy
This book contains a wealth of detailed, yet straightforward, information about a host of common terms and issues in commercial contracts. It doesn’t just tell you what terms should be included or what language to use, but explains WHY that is the case, with some excellent case law examples.

Great general reference to have on the shelf.
Was given the book to review, and I was pleasantly surprised how detailed and comprehensive it was as a general contract guide. I do find some of the supporting cases to be outdated, but the stare decisis still holds. (Eg Broadway Maint vs Rutgers (1982) compared to F. Bender Inc v Jos L Muscarelle (1997) for absence of privity). Nearly all of the principles and topics are applicable despite the type of contract, but this is probably best served for services and construction contracts versus say goods or technology. I enjoyed the read, and will look to read more from Mr. Humbert and team.-Paul Swanson

HUMBERT AND MASTICE NAIL IT!
I have over 30 years of experience handling legal transactional work of all types for pharmaceutical companies. I think that this book is a fabulous resource for attorneys and business professionals at all levels of experience, from beginners to seasoned professionals. I wish that I had this resource in my early years as a transactional attorney. It is a "must have" for those handling contract work in large or small companies. The book has a sample contract with very useful, informative annotations for each clause. The Sample language can be very useful when you need fast alternative language during the negotiation process. The sample clauses can be used in various types of agreements. I think that this book should be used in conjunction with "Contract and Risk Management for Supply Chain Professionals", also by Humbert and Mastice. Richard Grochala, Esq.

Excellent desktop guide for business owners and contract managers
I received this book, Model Contract Terms and Conditions with Annotations and Case Summaries by X. Paul Humbert, Esq. and Robert C. Mastice, MSME a couple of months ago and just now got around to writing this review. As a federal contract manager I didn't quite know what to expect but will keep this on hand for personal business and consulting operations. This book does an excellent job of breaking down useful contract management snippets with sensible applications. It's much easier to digest than attempting to crack open the Uniform Commercial Code and find something useful (and legible...). I recently put this desktop guide to use when drafting a membership agreement for an up and coming personal training business. I found the information highly applicable for a multitude of contract situations. I highly recommend picking up a copy, it is well worth the investment.
