excellent rack
Mounted this in the back of the garage to bring order to the bike collection and provide some space. The pole is well-designed in that simple twist actions are used to tighten or loosen the fit against the ceiling and floor. I followed other users' advice to wrap electrical tape under the bracket to keep them from sliding, and have had no issues. It's been holding up our bikes for a couple of months now, and it's easy to lift the bikes off and put back on.Not advertised is the fact that there are screw holes in the top bracket. We used those to screw the pole into a stud in the ceiling, which gives me peace of mind when parking our new car next to the rack. Even if there's an earthquake I'm not going to find our bikes fallen on top of the new car.

Fits the Pain Cave Nicely....
I was a little hesitant at first to mount our bikes but after securing it to the floor and ceiling (which is angled) I knew the bikes weren't going anywhere. Make sure you twist the bike hangers securely, I thought I did only to have my bike slide down the pole, if I wasn't there to watch it I'm sure it would have brought the whole rack down. The only con I give is the packaging, they must have played soccer with it before delivering. Larges holes were all over the box. I'm surprised everything was still inside. It's a solid rack, and don't lose any sleep holding our carbon frame bikes on it.

Works for me!
I needed a way to store my bikes inside the house, and this was a good solution. Because you tighten the pole to put pressure on the floor and ceiling to make this stand up, you should make sure you put this rack where there is a stud in the ceiling. The first time I tried it, I cracked the sheet rock in the ceiling. So I cut a 2"x 6"x 20" and painted it the wall color for the ceiling. I cut a smaller 2"x 4"x 6" for the floor to distribute the pressure.I also read several reviews where people complained that the top bar was slipping when they hung their bike. Since I don't have a super lightweight bike, this was a concern. I just looped a zip tie between two holes at the height I wanted and then installed the bar (see photo). It will never slip. Yes, I trimmed the zip tie after taking the photo. All in all, this is very functional and works for me.

Great sturdy rack, best price
Great verticals standing bike rack which nicely holds 2 bikes. I have a fairly heavy mountain bike and a small single speed. Easy to install and get tight on the floor/ceiling. Easily adjustable heights. I set the top bike up pretty high the the bottom I let the wheels rest on the ground. This rack was the cheapest on amazon I could find and it is working perfectly for what I wanted. O have had it up for about a month and it hasn’t flinched. I’ve taken the bikes on and off plenty of times. Highly recommend.

Bike Slides down.
This bike rack is low profile and does not occupy a lot of space. It is a pole. It stays where installed but there is one big issue I have that renders it rather useless.. the silver part of the rack is a thinner tube than the black tube and the rack part does not securely grip the pole. Because of this the top bike keeps sliding down the pole. I might try to flip the pole upside down so that way the top bike doesn’t slip but that puts my bottoms bike on the ground.... and so only half of this rack works. If your storing really light bikes or children’s bikes you might be okay.

Excellent product
I like just about everything about this product. The front bike hanger handles shift a little bit even when the big knob is tightened; the rubberized "forks" can lift bike decals on the top tube. Other than these minor details this is a really sturdy rack. I have 2 road bikes stored on the rack and it frees up quite a bit of floor space.

If plastic nut properly positioned on bike arms, works great.
We had problems getting the top rail to secure, like other users. Then I realized that a piece on the tightening bar wasn't fitted into the groove properly. Once we moved the piece to fit in the groove properly, then the bar could tighten down enough to hold the bar in place, even with a pretty heavy bike.

Not for heavier bicycles
All though the description says the rack can hold two 55 pound bicycles this is wishful thinking. Neither my Steel framed racing bike or my vintage mountain bike weigh any thing close to 55 lbs but the the pole bows and flexes when the two bikes are mounted. The carriers rely on squeeze clamps that simply are not up to the job and allow the upper bike to slide down over time. I have tightened the clamps repeatedly even resorting to using vice grip pliers to get as tight as possible. Might be Ok for an aluminum or composite bike frame or kids bikes.
