Truth in BOLD Letters
Easy to read. Easy to understand. Easy to recommend. Very, very hard for some to accept. But important that you do.

Nance is an expert voice. His book is compulsorey reading if we want to remian a democracy.
Though the material is complex and very important, it is readable and very interesting, and entertaining if you think that the possible loss of our democracy is entertaining.Nance is an Expert. And he cares very much, as I do, and I wager most intelligent and freedom loving Americans do. But our democracy is under severe threat as maybe never before, even during the Civil War days. This is, I would say compulsory reading, if you care.I have heard Nance speak and answer questions around this topic for some time. He is often on MSNBC. When I hear that he will be on, I drop what I am doing and I listen. I listen very carefully. And so I am reading this book very carefully -very very carefully. We must act now to counter this threat. We must not underestimate this threat and just go on with our lives as usual. Please read this.

Terrifying but grounded
This is an important read! Nance makes clear that our intuited sense of danger is accurate and must be listened to! He reveals more than we ever knew about what has led us to this place of perceived violence. It isn't our imaginations but a series of signs that we are on the brink of civil war unless we act against the TRump base and the various groups organized to eliminate liberals, the progressive view of the world and all that has been great about our democracy. We are living through very dangerous times and the first step in dealing with it is to recognize its reality. Nance , with his unique background is able to explain the danger, and warn us.

A Must Read To Be Aware of Potential Democracy Disrupters
Articulate read detailing known events, descriptions of past and current groups with "white nation" focus and disruption to democratic principles and processes. A must read for those who truly wish to preserve the government developed by the founders of the United States, separation of powers, and overall democracy.

Very interesting look at the hidden militant right in America
Mr. Nance pulls no punches in spelling out the dangers of far right extremists to American democracy and civil society in general. I was aware of some of the general aspects of this topic from other books, but this really got into more depth about who is who and what they want to do. It is truly scary how many nut jobs there are with guns who have visions of destroying government, provoking a race war, eliminating Jews, and killing liberals in order to save America. If you don't come away looking over your shoulder after reading the book, you missed the point. Nance is no fan of Trump and he makes that quite clear. The book is well constructed and well written and an easy read. I found myself marking up paragraph after paragraph in some sections -- something I reserve for books I want to refer back to. A definite "buy."

A MUST READ FOR ALL US VOTERS
This is a well written account of both the history and the present state of affairs under the Trump administration. Every voter should read this book before they cast another vote. It is an eye opener on so many levels, well referenced and well written.

A very important book
Retired US Navy Senior Chief Malcolm Nance spent 30+ years doing military intelligence. He continues to monitor social media platforms popular with right-wing folks who are partial to violent solutions. This book brings together many threads of research by Nance and other experts to paint a picture of Americans who believe that violence is the only way to "get their country back."

Amazingly Precient Picture of Current Events
Malcolm Nance writes in clear, direct language about the forces that led to the January 6th insurgency, more than a year before it happened. He used extremist's words in their own forums and safe spaces to predict their actions. He breaks down the groups that came together on that day, their similarities and subtle differences between them. Great, but very depressing, read

great reading
Nance is very engaging as a speaker and writer. He tells it like it is in hopes of opening the eyes of his fellow countrymen to the dangers of the cult of trump. A must read.

Yet another ‘blame it all on Trump’ trash
Looking at the publication date I hoped that the book will mainly focus on the current presidential term. It turned out that half of the book is a boring and often reported narration of the January 6 incident. The author tried to link all extremism in the US to Donald Trump’s presidency, even if the events happened in 1980s or 1990s. He also blamed Trump for all covid-related chaos without giving him any credit for making sure that the vaccine was created within one year, a record time, during his Presidency. It was a total waste of money and time.
