I bit to “talkie”, when the messages could’ve been more easily written. Far to many anecdotal stories for my taste however , the points of knowledge were sound.

There are some good questions for self reflection. It is a good book for someone new to starting a professional career on knowing self and self principles. I would not recommend for someone wanting to go further in an established career.

Ive used this book for years as a way to discuss making good leadership choices with my team. Buy a copy for everyone in your group and let them lead a chapter discussion. Questions at the end of each chapter facilitate a lively 15-20 minute discussion which bolsters group trust and bonding and builds their leadership skills at the same time.

This is the first book by this author that I've bought, so I wasn't familiar with his writing. This book is directed at people in business and in the beginning directs you to form a discussion group in your office, etc. I don't work in an office and I don't have a group of friends who would want to meet every Monday morning to discuss the "assignment" that he gives. I haven't read the entire book, but it doesn't seem to be for me! For someone in the business world, it might be good.

If you are looking for a weekly or daily wake up call about keeping things in perspective this book is it. I found this book to be very rewarding to read, so much, I purchased additional copies for young adults getting started with life after college. I have my normal daily devotional reading however, I have added this book as a weekly devotional reading. I purchased this for a book club at my workplace. It wasn't a horrible read, seems like a lot of common sense. Recommends other good books to read on the subject. I honestly felt a little inspired from it. Was a very quick read as well.
