Fantastic series and character!
I absolutely love this character in storyline, and the combination of medical, psychological, and detective content is truly enjoyable to read!

Loved this series
The Zoe Goldman series was phenomenal! I still really enjoyed this book, but I do have to say it was not as good as the first 2. Still worth finishing the series but a little bit of a let-down compared to how good the others were. **also, trigger warnings for sexual assault

Love this series!
Zoe Goldman is my kind of gal, tough but tender with a good head on her tall shoulders. In this third novel in the series, she grapples with a thorny personal issue while trying to solve the mystery of a sudden rash of patient deaths under suspicious circumstances. I was hooked from the start and the fast pace never let up. Great read by a doctor who writes what she knows.

Great
This book was good. I felt like it dragged on a lot and then all of the crazy surprises happened within a few chapters at the end. Wish the ending was drug out more. Also would have liked to find out what happened with Andre's dad. Never really heard anything else about those suspicions. Over all it was a pretty well written book and worth the read.

with an idiosyncratic protagonist – Zoe often works counter to her own best interests, partly because of her ADHD and OCD ...
Zoe Goldman is working as a psychiatry fellow at the local correctional facility, spending her days tending to the mental health of the prisoners, ignoring the catcalls, spit and threats from the cells, and attempting to get her coin-obsessed supervisor Dr "Nowhere" to actually give her any feedback on her patients. When her patients start dying, and she starts receiving threatening text messages, Zoe becomes convinced that someone is targeting her patients to get to her, and sets out to figure out what's going on.This was a capable thriller, with an idiosyncratic protagonist – Zoe often works counter to her own best interests, partly because of her ADHD and OCD (she has a tendency to latch onto certain ideas and follow them doggedly, regardless of their logic, or her safety). She comes across as a very real person, with unique quirks and opinions and characteristics. Unfortunately, while her character is fleshed out, we only really see things from her perspective – we hear a lot of her inner voice – so the rest of the characters come across a bit nondescript. The one exception tot his is Sophia, her sociopath sister (who tried to murder her in book 1, but who is currently trying to win Zoe's forgiveness). The mystery is also not that hard to figure out – there's a limited number of notable characters who have access to the prisoners, and most of them have no reason or motivation to be the one trying to ruin Zoe's life. Nonetheless, the writing is entertaining enough that the slight lack-of-mystery isn't a problem: watching Zoe think her way through things is satisfying, if at times frustrating in a "girl, what are you doing" kind of way.

I'm hooked on Zoe Goldman!
I have always enjoyed Sandra Block's novels, but she has created a wonderful new character. Zoe Goldman, a psychiatry fellow at a prison, while diligently treating patients, finds herself enmeshed in rumors that she is the angel of death. As her patients die one after the other, all fingers are pointed at her. While lesser doctors would have likely resigned under a cloud, Zoe is determined to discover the identity of the culprit targeting her patients. And thus begin the many twists and turns.Zoe is an absolute delight! Aside from her skills as a doctor, she is determined to clear her name, thus becoming a detective. What makes Zoe unique and lovable is her sense of humor. When I found myself laughing out loud at a good psychological thriller, I discovered yet again Sandra Block's talent as a writer. I look forward to reading more of Zoe's adventures. Thank you, Sandra Brown, for a most entertaining read.

Can't put it down
I started reading this book and did not mean to read it straight through in one sitting, but it was just that good! If this author wrote a book every month, it still wouldn't be enough. Now I have to wait who knows how long for the next next Zoe Goldman novel to come out to find out what happens next......sometimes it's hard being a reader........

Funny Thriller
Sandra Block has created a new genre of books - the thriller with a funny heroine! I've read all three Zoe Goldman books and this is my favorite of the series! She kept me guessing the entire time. And laughing too!
