Excellent waterproof flashlight!
Its main use for me has been cleaning the pool up after the kids at night, or as a care free light I can let the kids play with in the pool without the worry of water intrusion/damage (had that happen with a Maglight and a few cheap no name “waterproof” lights). Wurkkos made a name for themselves with their dive lights, and this one continues that trend. Small and easily fits in the hand, simply user interface, to change settings the button has a good amount of distance to travel making accidental button presses few and far between, and comes with a nice strong lanyard to attach to your wrist. Let alone, as you should get with a flashlight, a superb beam of bright white light (no uncomfortable blue tint). Great build quality, rechargeable battery, and best of all, this light will not break the bank like other lights ( I dare say this is THE best value in dive lights, given the current coupon, from a known name brand).

Great Budget Dive Light and Fantastic Multi-Purpose Flashlight
The Wurkkos WK20S is a solid choice for anyone looking for a reliable and powerful dive flashlight at a reasonable price. While this is targeted at divers, I still think this could be useful for people who want a well rounded flashlight that they won't care about getting wet. I have a lot of flashlights and this is the one I'll be taking to the beach this summer. Here's a breakdown of its pros and cons: Pros: Built Tough: This light feels well-built with a quality aluminum body and a IPX8 waterproof rating, meaning it can survive dives up to 100 meters (330ft). It's a little heavy, but not in a bad way; it feels expensive in the hand. Great Beam: The SST40 LED throws a bright, clean beam with a good balance of throw and spill, making it ideal for underwater exploration. The color temperature looks neutral white around 5000k. Simple UI: The magnetic side switch is easy to use even while wearing gloves, and the single-button interface keeps things simple. One click on, one click to advance the brightness, and hold to turn off. Easy. Long Runtime: Powered by a big 18650 battery, the WK20S provides long runtimes. Cons: No On-Board Charging: You'll need to use the included charger to charge up the 18650 battery. Most Wurkkos lights have a built in USBC charging, this does not because it's a dive light. Not a deal breaker, but something to know. Bulky for EDC: This is a dive light first and foremost, and its size and weight might not be ideal for everyday carry. It's certainly not bulky and if you have a small bag, you could easily toss it in there, but this would be a little too big to carry in your pocket all day. I included a size comparison in one of my pictures that shows its size compared to other high end flashlights. (Yes, I'm a flashlight fanatic and have way too many) Overall: The Wurkkos WK20S is an excellent value for budget-minded divers and people looking for a light that can do it all, even if things get really wet. Besides diving, I'd bring this to the beach, hiking, biking, and anyplace where you have a probability of getting really wet. It's tough, bright, and easy to use and really is a great well rounded flashlight. I highly recommend this light and think that it would be impossible to find a diving light that would be a better price to performance value. You can't go wrong here.

Switch broke after 1 dive
Been diving for decades including night dives and have owned numerous dive torches over the years. Though this torch casts quite a nice light, the switch got stuck flat after only 1 dive (around 65 ft. max depth). As a result, it will not turn on at all.

Get this as your first dive light
Appearance and Build: 10/10 The Wurkkos 20S is simple with no unneeded bells or whistles. The body of the light is built out of solid aluminum with a matte black anodized finished. In my experience their anodized finishes are durable and give a great feel in the hand far beyond what you would expect from a light of this price. The threads are cut cleanly with an adequate O-ring and are lubricated properly upon arrival for smooth tailcap removal. The included 18650 battery sits snug with no shaking. The light is somewhat long for a 18650 light but that’s due to the deep reflector this light has for a concentrated hotspot in the middle. Dropped in on the floor, sand, and bumped into rocks in the water the light has held up to more than normal use. However be warned that sand could affect the switch if not cleaned out properly which shouldn’t be a problem since the light is waterproof. Function/Use: 9/10 This light utilizes a single SST40 LED. The hotspot is small and concentrated with the spill still being adequate enough to light the general surroundings. This light has performed beautifully on dives and into rivers at night. My first dive light from a big brand scuba company was twice the price and half the functionality. This light has enough lumens to cover any entry/intermediate night dives. If you’re using the light out of the water the light does get hot quick on max but in the water that’s not a concern. If you’re looking for your first dive light just get this one and spend more time diving and figuring out what kind of light you’ll want to go from there. I truly believe this light will cover most recreational/entry level divers. The on and off button is a magnetically enclosed switch making it waterproof and extremely reliable. I will say the one negative feedback is that the switch is a bit mushy feeling and can easily be turned on in your pocket if you’re not careful. However as a dive light there isn’t much of that problem. Battery/Accessories: Wurkkos chargers and batteries are reliable and efficient. It doesn’t have the bells and whistles of a dedicated charger but is perfectly adequate. Spare O rings are provided as well as clear instructions. Value: 10/10 It’s hard not to give any Wurkkos light anything other than a 10/10. This light is an absolute steal for the price. Even when you’re not diving this is the perfect light for if something goes bump in the dark or if you’re taking your dog for a walk. The concentrated beam meant to penetrate through murky waters gives tremendous throwing capabilities of this light to light up the scene in front of you. Wurkkos lights are truly in a class of their own when it comes down to bang for your buck. I never hesitate to recommend any of their lights. Conclusion: Another homerun light from Wurkkos. If you’re looking for a first diving light on a limited budget. BUY THIS ONE and thank me later

Great bright light. Great Value.
I just spent a week diving in Mexico. Used this light on every dive and was very happy with overall performance. It has 4 brightness settings which is nice because you can conserve battery life as needed. On the highest setting the light is very bright. Very Good Battery life too. I tested this on a dive right away and left it on the full brightness setting for the whole dive and it lasted the whole time, and the entire dive. Light is Completely sealed and water proof so no issues with water getting inside the light. My only complaint is that the button to turn the light on is extremely sensitive and seems to turn on with the slightest bump. The light came on a couple times in my dive bag, and also while diving, so you do have to keep on eye on this. Overall for the price this light is very good and I would purchase again.

A fine all-around flashlight
This is one really nice flashlight. I've had it a week and it's already become one of my favorites. To put things in perspective, I'm a retired park ranger and I still spend a lot of my time in the outdoors. I consider a good flashlight an essential when you got out in the boonies, and I wish I had something like this when I was working. What do I like about it? Well, first the light, of course. Even on a medium setting it shines brighter and projects farther than any one of the old heavyweight battering rams I used to carry around, and it stands up against any modern LED job that I own, too. Next, it's simple to use. The interface is completely no-frills: short clicks cycle through the four brightness modes, a longer click of a second or so turns it off. What else could I ask for? I have several much more expensive lights that mostly sit in my drawer, because the interface is so complex I never remember how to work the darn things. I don't need 18 different tint options to choose from, I want to see where I'm going. What else? It just feels good in my hand. It's not too heavy, it's balanced just right, and the ridges are all in the right places, at least for my mitts. Plus, the switch is BIG, and you don't have to hunt around for it in the dark. I bought another well-regarded high-tech flashlight several months ago and the switch is so flush with the tube, I need to shine another light on it if I need to turn it on in dark. Hello....? That kind of defeats the purpose, doesn't it? Anyway, you'll never have to worry about that with this baby-- I'll bet you can find the switch with gloves on. Last thing, to mention, it's rugged. My cat knocked it off a table onto a concrete floor yesterday-- if you have a cat you can relate-- but there wasn't even a scratch. Bottom line? Well, my diving days are far in the past, but this a damn good all-around flashlight. I might buy a few more for my grandkids.

Poor Controls
Seems like good quality. Bright enough, and overall a good value. Unfortunately, switch functionality/logic is poor. Too easy to turn on, and can't consistently turn flashlight back on to the same brightness level. Disappointed with the usability because I can't get it shining at the correct intensity without taking time to fiddle with it while underwater.

Great Waterproof Flashlight! Very Bright!
The Wurkkos WK20S flashlight is a great multi-purpose flashlight. Although it is designed as a diving flashlight, and it is excellent in that role, the WK20S can be used anywhere you need a flashlight. The WK20S would also work great as a boating/rafting/camping/hiking/backpacking flashlight, especially if you are in an area where your flashlight might get dropped into the water. The WK20S is very bright with a great tint and no noticeable artifacts. Bottom line - the WK20S is a great flashlight that is useful in many situations.
