I was so impressed with this product for its durability, functionality, economically price and ease of use (hope no one has to use it) that I bought more for every driver in my family. Everyone thinks of use when your vehicle might get submerged but if you get in an accident that bends the frame or door is wrecked and won't open it is good to have on hand. Place where you can always see it and easy to reach. I have a seat belt cover and clipped mine on that. It will always be there at my left shoulder. Recommend everyone get these.

This came with a piece of glass to practice on, I used it, and the glass shattered!

I have not tried this on an actual window for good reason but trust it will work. Seems well enuf built and it is surprising how much or how hard you have to push to set it off. In a flooded car you would have to hold onto something to avoid action/reaction you pushing yourself away from the window, even seated it might take two hands to set if off.

I ordered one for each of our vehicles, just in case we are ever in the situation that it is needed

When purchasing an item from Amazon, I usually go for the product that has the most positive reviews, four stars or better. In this case I went with a 4 1/2 star product with much fewer reviews but with a very important difference. The tools with thousands of reviews were missing a very important piece, that is, a sample glass to test the glass breaker. The positive reviews of the other products were based on how it looked, how it’s felt, and their assumption that it would work when needed. I couldn’t take it on faith, I had to be able to test the product, and that’s what this company provided. I also needed to be sure my elderly, weak hands would be strong enough to make glass breaker work. I was able to test this with the sample glass included with the purchase. It wasn’t hard at all to shatter that thick piece of glass and I feel confident that in an emergency I will not be left with a tool that I assumed would work, but it when was really needed, did not. The only thing that could make this better was if two pieces of glass were provided since there are two tools included in the purchase price. I will have to assume that the second one will work as well as the first one unless I can find another way to test it. Still, based on the quality and performance of the first one, I feel confident that both of these tools will help me if, God for bid, it ever becomes needed

Who to say when you could possibly be in a accident? This product is a must have if you are. It can break the window, cut your seat belt if you're trapped. A must have if you ask me. Got 2, 1 for me and 1 for the wife.

Did it work? Yes. Could it have been better? Absolutely!The blessing and curse about these things is that you very likely won’t know what quality it is until you are in a situation where you absolutely need it. Today was the day where we found ourselves in a situation where the only way to exit our disabled vehicle was to break a window.This gadget was used. It took a lot of force and six tries before the window shattered. We tried the middle and corners. Unfortunately the amount of force required to break the glass resulted in some pretty nasty gashes across my hands. Now we are off to get stitches.
