Tru-SpecMen's BDU Pants - Tactical Uniform Pants for Military and Law Enforcement, 100% Cotton Rip-Stop Fabric

I might edit this review based on long-term durability. I bought a single pair and found out about the sizing issues that seem to dominate these reviews. The customer service was great and it was very simple to exchange the wrong size for the correct one. I wore the first pair for about three weeks straight washing them every 2 or 3 days. I 'pushed' a few common failing points of cheap BDUs, the first being that the hip pockets often get ripped by car keys or similar objects. The second is the baggy crotch and the possiblity of ripping the pants along the side of the fly when quickly moving in a manner that puts stress on them. So far, so good. I ordered two more pairs. I am going to address some other concerns in reviews because I think it is important. These are BDUs. They are meant to be baggy in the thighs and the crotch. The thighs need to have ample room in the event that the cargo pockets are used to store large and bulky items. If you are looking for 'skinny jean BDUs' look elsewhere or be prepared to alter the pants. Second, BDUs are meant to be long in the inseam. There is a reason why there are straps around the cuffs, the general idea being that you tighten the straps and tuck the pants into your boots. I don't do this too often so I am fully prepared for this area of the pants to fail eventually. If the pants aren't worn correctly, chances are the cuffs are going to get caught between your feet and the floor. Finally, yes the buttons might fail. This is common with even the best BDUs. If you want to wear BDUs, learn how to sew a button back on them. I am sure there are youtube videos for this. Second finally, comparing the durability of cotton BDUs to denim jeans is an apple and oranges type of thing. These BDUs are comfortable, lightweight, and by all appearances and basic testing, they seem to be durable. The pockets drain well. The BDUs dry very quickly. So far, I am pretty happy about these, but will edit this review if I experience problems beyond what I consider a reasonable failure point for the usage I intend.

So in central California (Madera, Chowchilla, and Los Banos) these are perfect for dove watching!

These pants fit great. Im a large fellow and tend to have trouble finding pants that fits my legs and thighs comfortably. I ordered these a size larger than what I usually wear and its like im free. The movement is non-constrictive and the waist has adjustment to snug it up.They stitching and fabric are very rugged.A couple caveats.The button fly take a little getting used to.The front and back pockets are small. Big enough for wallet or phone. Thick belts will limit hand access to front pockets.The black dye on these pants started to fade immediately. They are now a coal black instead of jet black only after 5 washes.If youre a big guy looking for pants that will let you move around with cutting the circulation off to your legs this is them.

I love the range of motion provided, and so far the durability is good. The black ones show dust/dirt easier, but that's to be expected if you kneel in the dirt. :) These fit as well as my old issue ones did, and I'll be getting more.

Being ex military, I go to what’s familiar and comfortable. So I choose these pants and so far they are reliable and hold up. Pretty standard.

I bought these pants to replace my issued uniform pants. They fit just fine. There were no loose buttons or hanging threads. They are very comfortable, and they look very professional just like BDUs should. The only reason they don't get all 5 stars is that they aren't very durable. I've not even had them a year, but they are already showing wear in the seat, and the thighs. (More wear than they should, considering what I do while wearing them.) I will be very surprised if these last another year. The sewing is fine, it's just that the quality of the fabric itself seems to be substandard. It's strange, because I own many other items of clothing from TruSpec, and it's usually good kit. These particular pants just aren't holding up well. If you want these pants for anything strenuous, I cannot recommend them. If you just want to look tactical - or tacticool - then they will do just fine.

I like to work out rucking and heavyhanding on nature trails when weather permits. These BDU pants are very roomy and you can cinch the ankles to keep the lime ticks out. Durable ripstop, button fly, big pockets for bug spray and small water bottles. Perhaps not the height of fashion, but practical and I'm too old to care.

So I'm on my second pair of these pants, and got my wife a set too. Great pants for work. They breathe nice and they're pretty dang sturdy!I've found they last a year or two with regular wear, and when broken in the material is very comfortable. My older pair, though a bit ragged at this point, is a good set of comfy home pants for painting and cleaning and the like.

These pants are very nice but were too short for my husband. He is 6’3 so it is difficult to find pants to fit him. The return was very easy and the credit was done quickly.
