Morgan gifted me with an advanced reader copy and I couldn’t wait to gift her thoughts and words to others who are struggling through their own darkness. I love how the devotional is set up = No Formula! By picking a random page in any order your soul will be nourished! Morgan’s words coupled with the referenced scripture bring comfort that we are not alone in this journey. She also gives us a glimpse of how we, a sinful people, can come before our creator with our rawness exposed, questions, and pain and not be put to shame. Her authenticity in sharing her heart with the Lord and proclaiming the word of God to us is a greater privilege than we deserve. Her presence with you through this devotion is in itself, evidence of Gods grace!!!

As a spiritual director, I'm familiar with spaces of grief and loss. I've noticed that we all go through this process at our own pace and in our own way, and Morgan has specially made room for this in Even in Darkness. Morgan doesn't sugar-coat the journey of darkness. This isn't a book that will encourage the reader to just think positively and pull yourself out of the dark space. Instead, Morgan, through her words, meets the reader where they are, offering invitational prompts to either go deeper or a simple prayer if that's more in line with where they are in that moment. I highly recommend this book!

This book has gotten me through some of my darkest days. I have PTSD, untreatable depression and anxiety. . It includes a little task to do to help keep you busy if you are interested in doing it. I have always done the little tasks. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is just straight up struggling with life.

I had to true gift of receiving an advanced reader copy of "Even In Darkness". In my own journey with grief I have found myself searching for authenticity in a grief "guide". The struggle to feel both at peace and in pain with the loss of a part of you feels somehow unholy. In her book, Morgan provides such a wonderfully authentic guide for anyone searching for The Truth about what God thinks about grief and how He will hold you in your deepest moments. It is both Biblically sound and filled with the compassion that only a companion in grief could have. This will be my new guide to read and reread for myself, and a gift to anyone as they step along side me in their own grief journey. I can not recommend this book strongly enough.
