A lovely set of whiskey stones
This is a lovely set of whiskey stones. They have rounded edges and several facets per side so they sit well in your glass. The polished granite doesn’t seem to absorb liquid and they’re easy to wash. Now, let’s talk about temperature because that seems to be the biggest concern. These are not ice cubes and they will not make your drink cold. They’re not intended to. What they do a good job of is keeping your dram cool especially in a warm environment or when being held in your hand. You can see in the pictures the difference between 1.5 oz of Scotch at a room temperature of 67 and then 10 mins later with three whiskey stones cooled to 57. Personally, I think is an ideal temperature for drinking whiskey meat. These stones come in a box with only a velvet bag to hold them which all you really need. Overall, I would recommend this set as an inexpensive way to plus up your whiskey drinking experience.

Use these with--NOT instead of--ice.
These will keep a cold drink cold, but not cool a warm drink down. They are really nice though. They have a nice finish, and they are pretty heavy. I like them, but they're not very effective on their own; use them with ice for a drink that stays cold longer.

Fun -- but heavy, so be careful
Like those plastic, liquid-filled colored "ice cubes," these are fun to use and won't water your drink. They don't work quite as well as real ice, so you might need one extra, but they work. They're solid and heavy, so if you like to drop things into your glass from high up . . . .

Not effective
the cosmetic look in the glass is all it is. The items don't keep the beverage cold and really aren't worth the effort.

For experienced drinkers
Heavy granite and easy to clean. These are for whiskey drinkers that don’t like their drink watered down and prefer the drink to be cool, NOT COLD. 4 Rocks: Takes 10 minutes to notice a difference in temperature of 4 oz pour

Keeps cool, doesn't make it cool
Don't expect these to chill you whiskey, they don't. They will help keep it chilled if it already is, but not for long. Overall they are nothing more than a novelty really.

Don't remain frozen for long
I was so excited to receive these. I enjoy cold coffee in the morning as well as coconut water throughout the day and don't want either of those to be diluted with ice cubes. They appear very durable, easy to wash but they just don't stay frozen for very long. I was a little disappointed.

Wow, Amazon Prime delivers, as promise !!! Thanks so much !
Okay, so they are enabling a procrastinator, but they saved a holiday gift set that was incomplete by delivering the vital missing components on Christmas eve !!! I needn't have worried about quality either, as the item is everything that I hoped for. Thanks again and happy holidays.

Too small to do the job
Doesn't get cold enough to really cool down the drink. Would probably try those in stainless steel and bigger ones the next time i purchase whiskey stones

Great little rocks
Great little rocks! The little bag included is perfect for tossing them in the freezer. Keep in mind they can't cool as much as an ice cube because of... well... material science but they do a good enough job if your alcohol is already cooled. I have no problem tossing them in the dishwasher when I'm done, they come out fine and the polish hasn't faded. One of them came with a groove in the side so I'm knocking one star off for the flaw. It's honestly so minor I didn't bother to mention it to the seller.

Great!
They do their job in getting your drink cold, but like any stone I find that my experience using whisky stones is that I'm always worried that it'll break my glass or my teeth when I drink! This is my first experience with whisky stones, so it may be an issue with all of them..
