Can you put the pins back in the grenade and use it again

Yes, they can be used over and over. The pin keeps it from making the sound effect. Once the pin is removed, it still has to have the handle pressed in order to make the sound effects. So even if the pin is lost, it will still make the sound effect. Also, FYI, ours came all individually wrapped.

How loud are they? Are they easy to hear?

They are as loud as a toy gun.. They are perfect for my son playing with his friends. I was very happy with them!
