My hens love this treat
I’ve fed my hens mealworms in the past so I wasn’t sure how they’d react to the black fly larva. They love them! When it’s time for them to get back in the henhouse for the night, I sprinkle a cup of the larva in their yard and they come running to eat them. I am glad to find a product from the Americas instead of China, too.

Not a China-grown product
I bought this product to feed wild birds. Birds love them! And the best part - the black soldier fly larvae are sustainably grown in Costa Rica. That is a big p!us for me. I will definitely be a repeat customer.

Stinky McStinkface
These were a fair price, shipped quickly and as described. I bought these for my chickens and they seem to enjoy them very much. My problem with these is they smell absolutely disgusting! The smell is so overpowering and will linger on your skin. We use a scoop to get them out so we don’t have to touch them! Truly horrendous. Do yourself a favor and get mealworms instead. Will never buy these again!

Wild birds hate these
I decided to try these as a less expensive alternative to mealworms. It was a waste of money. None of the wild birds that were going crazy for mealworms will eat these.

Spoiled, with a putrid odor
I generally do not write reviews and accept the fact that life is not perfect. This bag of grubs (for birds) was unlike any I have seen. Nearly black in color with a very foul odor. I will not handle these to return them. I re-sealed the bag and tossed them in the garbage.

Have a rotten smell.
These have a "rotten" smell to them. Can hardly stand to put them in the bird feeder. I've had several bags from other vendors and theirs have never had a smell to them. I will never purchase again even though they were cheaper. You get what you pay for!!
