This is an Add on set for the Lego Education Simple And Motorized Mechanisms Base Set 9685
The Lego Education Renewable Energy Add on set is designed to work with the Lego Education Simple And Motorized Mechanisms Base Set 9685. This is an educational student kit that works with a Lego 4th to 6th grade engineering curriculm that have a student workbook and teacher's guide that is sold separately. The solar panel is amorphous and sensitive / works with UV lights. UV filtered light or non UV light won't generate much of a current on solar panel ... This Lego solar panel works best with outside sun light. Rechargeable NiMH battery won't hold much of a charge. Kit contains most energy efficient motor LEGO has ever made. This set is one of the few ways to get the Power Function oriented Solar Panel. Windmill blades can double as efficient water wheel blades too. Set has been discontinued so finding a NIB version now is very rare

Do not buy this unless you want to hack it.
This kit has the appearance of being useful and interesting, but is quite disappointing in practice. The battery kits do not hold a charge, nor do the builds provide enough power to charge them. With some warranty-voiding modifications, I am sure this could become a viable kit for education, but as-is, do not buy it. Especially for the list price of $999 (what even?).

Schade das ein solches Paket durch die Veröffentlichung unter Lego Education einem breiten Publikum vorenthalten wird. Es ist sehr lehrreich und auch Verarbeitung stimmen. Ich nin nur zufällig darauf gestossen.

Méfiez vous, juste la partie électronique se trouve dans la boite. Tous les légos nécessaires pour le montage sont absents.
