Great For It's Intended Purpose
This is the cutting edge AI deep learning single board processor based on NVidia GPU technology which happens to be very nicely optimized for various forms of AI. For what it is, it's amazing. Some of the other reviews are making me laugh. What this is NOT (or at least not its strength):* It's not a general purpose computer - if that's what you're looking for, don't buy this* It's not a raspberry pi like device - if that's what you're looking for, don't buy this* It's not a highly user friendly gadget - if that's what you're looking for, don't buy thisIt's somewhat harder for beginners to use, but even f you've never trained a deep learning net and never used one for classification, you might still buy this.I'm using this to run (and even train) deep nets for image recognition using Tensorflow. The nets were originally trained using Tensorflow using Amazon AWS computers. The nets transferred flawlessly (but with some effort) to the TX2. For that, this is an amazing processor. At this point, I've thrown away the motherboard and mounted the TX2 on a different carrier (orbitty).

Read My Lips: This is a development Kit.
The NVIDIA 945-82771-0000-000 Jetson TX2 Development Kit is for developers. As such it is an extraordinary product but is absolutely not "Plug and Play."

Great product. It is quite difficult to get started
Great product. It is quite difficult to get started. You have to spend time learning from many different resources. For robotic engineer, you will find this board useful if you are familiar with it. This one is certainly better than TX1.

Micro USB Port For Flashing Easily Damaged
It is with great sorrow I have to criticize this product. The Hardware and Software and the product itself is absolutely excellent and probably nothing else on the market has its performance or low power consumption. However, the Micro USB Port is an absolute necessity to flash a new Jet Pack.On my upgrade from Jetpack 3.x to 4.x, I broke the Micro USB Connector. The warranty is only good for 1 Year, so I was told by NVIDIA in an email from their Customer Service that they had no department that would repair it and I would have to replace the unit.I paid $600 for the Unit in June of 2017 and it makes no sense to develop Deep Learning Applications on an Old Tensor Flow from an old Jetpack.Be aware that if you damage the Micro USB, which is Super Easy to do your out $600 for a TX2 and $1300 for a Xavier.NVIDIA, needs to be "Called Out" for this oversight - I urge everyone reading this article to call Customer Service and ask them what recourse does one have it the Micro USB Port is damaged after the Warranty is up. Maybe they'll change their policies and provide repair services, instead of just telling the consumer to shell out another $600 or $1300!408-486-2000

It is what I expected.
Only downgrade to install jetpack . requires both cable ethernet connection also usbc. Why we cant do this with wifi ?
