Worth it

This is a life saver for seniors with painful hands. I can no longer turn those crank type can openers and the big chunking electric can openers take up too much space on the counter. My daughter gave me one of these and I used it until it died then bought a new one. Just need to keep a supply of batteries around, but they last a long time.

One hand operation. It cuts into metal the first time around and releases can with just a touch of the button.

Ordered this can opener years ago and we love it. Ordered a 2nd one and it runs but as soon as I place it on the can, it doesn't work. Compared to the older one it is very "bottom" heavy and I think it lacks the power to maneuver itself. Unfortunately I missed my return window. Haven't decided if I want to purchase another, I eventually will most likely as I like the original & my hubby takes it to work daily.

It does the thing it's supposed to do. The only issue I have is that it doesn't stop by itself and I have to remember where it started and that is difficult for me for some reason. My brain cannot remember the angle where it started. I'm going to have to pick a placement and always use that angle no matter what. Or buy one that stops when it's done it's job. The grinding sound doesn't even change when it finishes opening. How is that even possible? Because it keeps eating at the can even after it's open. Chewing up the sides and the paper.This review has made me realize how annoyed I am. But it does open the cans.
