I bought this book as I like some of dionnes songs and thought it would be a good read. I don't like the way she criticised Cilla black, She also says she was the only one to have a hit with- Alfie, Cilla recorded it a year earlier and it was top 10. She name drops Galore and mentioned a few times how many awards she has won. Dionne speaks very fondly about her family and friends and how important god is in her life, But she avoids things by saying after 12 years of marriage and then divorce-she wont go into detail as its not our business, She doesn't mention bankruptcy, What is the point in co -writing a book if your not going to tell your full life story?. I have read better.

Candid!
Candid, funny, entertaining - just like the woman in concert, this is a joy from a true icon of the pop era. A worthy read whether a fan or not...unless you're Cilla Black in which case you might not like some of the remarks, but they provide a chuckle for those of us who are not Ms Black!

An excellent book for those who love Dionne Warwick as I do. The book is full of beautiful pictures of her career. I strongly recommend you to buy it!!

Dionne Warwick's Story
As this is to be a Christmas present for a friend I cannot truly say what I think of the contents in any depths, but I have looked through it and I must say that, from what my friend has told me about Dionne Warwick, it is going to be a great read. It is beautifully presented and professionally written. I am sure that she will love it.Whirly
