I am a little disappointed with this item
I am a little disappointed with this item. It comes with two a-b USB cords and not a midi cord, plus the 12 step I ordered along with this has its own a-b USB cord. Yes I read the description and noted no midi cord, but now I not only have to order a midi cord, but try and figure out how to run this into a sound system that does not use midi connections. May as well just used the laptop to power the 12step.

Great device. No latency. Does exactly what it is supposed to do without any issues.

Essential to utilize Keith McMillen as a stand alone device
I have both a 12step and soft step (first revision). I bought the 12step first to use with Ableton.. I then bought the soft step to use for multiple things.. In the end, having this will allow me to hook either the softstep or the 12 step directly to a keyboard or drum machine (or even a mutlieffects pedal). It is small and efficient and though I am not crazy about having a separate breakout box, I will say that it is neccesary to keep the convenience of the KMI product size..It works! I setup a program to control the Variations and fills on my Korg MIcroARRANGER and it works just as advertised.. the price is even reasonable (especially considering priced in tandem with a SoftStep or a 12step).Read my review on the Soft Step!

This allows me to control my ElevenRack with my Softstep ...
This allows me to control my ElevenRack with my Softstep foot controller. This functionality should be built into the controller, though. Why make another device that needs to be carried around and cabled up?
