Excellent book! This is a clear and concise "How To" book written in first person by a successful Las Vegas photographer. The tips and tricks he gives apply to almost any type of photography - glamour, boudoir, fashion, portraiture - not just erotic images. It's a real world guide that shows you the entire process from model casting, to lighting (natural and false), to how to find great locations as well as the practicalities (and legalities) of creating sexy images.I highly recommend this book to both photographers and models - the author's friendly tone makes it instantly accessible to people of any skill level and you really feel like you're getting the "inside scoop" on what it's like to work in this industry. I've worked in the entertainment industry for years, but learned all kinds of interesting and useful tidbits from reading this book. It's as if you've made friends with the author and he's right there with you, giving you trade secrets!The images are gorgeous - yes, there's alot of nudity (what else would you expect from a book about erotic photo shoots?!) but they never cross the line. It's definitely mature content, but as well as being tasteful, it's also beautiful. You can tell the author respects his models - he even addresses what's it's like for his wife, which I thought was thoughtful and awesome of him!

I am an amateur photographer interested in expanding my skills. This book not only gave me a good introduction about how to photograph nudes, find and treat models, and post-process the photos, but it gave me a pretty good knowledge of studio lighting and photography. I only wish it gave more info about how to get the best poses from the models. Otherwise, I recommend this book to anyone looking at getting started with nude and erotic photography. It is easy yet informative reading. The author kept me engaged throughout the book.

This is an excellent book. The photos are artistic and sensual, not hardcore. Richard does an excellent job pointing out and listing where he located the lighting and the settings that he put on his camera. It is also an easy read as the chapters a reasonable in length and straight to the point. He demonstrates that beautiful photos can be taken with a DSLR, Point and Shoot, as well as camera phones. The models that he shows are very beautiful and all of the shots inspire creativity. This is a must have for anyone interested in fine art nude photography. You really will not need any other books in your library on the subject. Well done Richard Young.

I've been waiting for this book for what seems like forever, as it ended up being released considerable after its original date. For those of you who want to do any kind of the various flavors of glamour photography, I would rate this book at about as good as it gets. Even for those who are mostly interested in portrait photography, the tips are plentiful and valuable. This is a book that every photographer should have in his library. Not just glamour photographers, but all photographers. Don't expect a soft porn coffee table book. The photographs are lush and stunning, but the advice is definitely worth the price of the book.

This book have a tons and of suggest for photographers to communicate with models, pick locations, lighting, how to get your images published and budget for photography equipment. I truly think any entry photography should read it before you get start it.

I am a amateur photographer in that this is my passion not my profession! I love the creative process and learn from a number of places. I also have learned that there are a number of tricks in photography that can save you money and this book is one of those place. The tips alone are worth the price of the book. Ric down to earth style comes out in this book. Ric is so down to earth he reached out to me though Zivity even though his quality and body of work was greater than mine. Ric showed his passion for nude art photography and passion to share his knowledge comes though the book. In this book you learn that yes mere mortals can shoot nude art and following the tips in this book you will have good results.No this book will instantly turn you into a professional photographer much less a professional nude photographer, but Ric will outline a path to shooting nudes and even talks about involving you wife or girlfriend and his path to success.

This is an excellent book for a beginner to get into photography business. It has many good photos for examples of poses to use and how to get up and going in a business.

Doesn't start with the basics but assumes you have a camera and know how to use it. The book covers lighting and poses. It also covers behavior around models and where to find them. It discusses types of erotic photography.

A very nice photography book - wish for bigger pictures, but this is a must buy for any photographer wishing to expand their knowledge into the erotic genre. Very well done.
