Great color payoff and comfortable formula, not drying like a lot of mattes but not transfer proof either. No strong scent. The lipstick and aluminum tube are both beautiful and feel expensive. The swatches in the listing could be more accurate though, CR129 (the top swatch in my photo) is very warm toned.

Beautiful lipstick! The color I got is plum and it is beautiful~ it's one of those kind of colors that anyone can wear and it will look great. The lipstick itself is carved into beautiful artwork on the outside and the case also is beautiful with cranes and Japanese stuff. I also love how the lipstick case has a magnet closure so that it doesn't come off in your purse. Definitely recommend the plum color.

I like the color payoff — it’s rich and pretty with a semi-matte finish that looks nice. It’s comfortable to wear and not too drying, but I wouldn’t say it’s super hydrating. 👍 Pros: Good pigmentation and smooth application Comfortable semi-matte finish, not too flat Packaging looks nice 👎 Cons: Could feel more moisturizing — lips get a bit dry after a few hours Not very long-lasting; needs reapplying throughout the day Overall, it’s a decent lipstick if you want good color without too much fuss, but if you need serious hydration or all-day wear, you might want to look elsewhere.

Beautiful details on the side of the lipstick itself. The finish is creamy and goes on very evenly and smoothly. I didn't feel like it dried out my lips. The Maple color ended up not being what I'd hoped, but I want to try more lipstick colors from this brand. I really like the look, feel, and weight of the case. Was not expecting the lid and base to shut with a magnet, but that's such a nice feature.

This is the most beautiful lipstick I have ever seen for such a great price! The carved Asian motif on the lipstick itself is stunning, as is the magnetic closure case (no more caps falling off!). Almost didn’t want to use it and have the carving disappear. I chose the Maple shade, which is a medium brown with pink undertones; if you are looking for a dark brown, this is not it. The lipstick is creamy and moist, not sticky, and scent free. Love this company! Have already ordered another shade!

Love the creamy texture of these lipsticks, but be aware that the colors are not described accurately in the pics. The lighter one is beige and the darker one is rust! I was hoping for rose and burgundy. Can't return them as I tried the darker one and it looked awful on me - I'm pale and cool-toned. Much as I've liked my other Catkin purchases, this was a real downer.

I have no problem with scented lipsticks but finding ones unscented are very hard. Not only are these unscented, they are also full of pigment. I bought the Summer Palace trio of 138, 139, & 140. The set comes in a magnetic-flapped box which is perfect for gift giving or just reusing for your jewelry or knick-knacks. Each lipstick is is housed in a magnetic case, easy to pull off the cap for arthritic hands yet they stay on when you put them in your purse. From the pictures, I couldn't wait to use them, so they are a bit smeared. They did come unused. I was just too excited and forgot to take pictures! The intricate design of the lipsticks makes it painful to even use. They are so beautiful! The colors are from the red family. 138 is a neutral rich red; 139 is a wine red; and 140 is a terracotta red. They may look dark but they aren't, they are just rich with pigment. These are lipsticks that deserve the most attention on your face, the focal point. With these lipsticks, a simple eye look of nude eyeshadow and mascara and a touch of soft blush completes the look. The texture is lightweight and matte. When you think matte, you may think drying but these aren't. By lightweight, think of the hip brand with the initials PM or ND. Even though those brands have pigmented lipsticks, they can feel dry and thick. These Catkin lipsticks have the same amount of pigment but much more lightweight on the lips. I almost wished I didn't buy these because I WANT MORE!!! Case was not as pictured, which is why I chose this color. I do like the color of the lipstick. Very dry on lips.

C'est un rouge à lèvre, il fait son travail. Pas eu l'occasion encore de le tester pour une journée entière mais pour une demi journée il tient et ne s'efface pas, étant mat il se fond parfaitement avec le reste du maquillage et les sculptures sont magnifiques.
