Eric Carle has the loveliest books for children, and this is one of them. I bought this for my daughter-in-law and the Dad version for my son when they had their first child recently. I also bought the “Big Brother” version for my grandson. This is a small book, easy to read with beautiful, colorful illustrations. Any of Eric Carle books ever disappoint.

I enjoyed reading this with my granddaughter. Very durable and great price. I have it to her for holiday for her to read to her mom she’s 5.

I bought both the I love mom and I love dad hungry caterpillar books for two 2-year-olds. The books are really cute so I’m giving four stars. The kids loved them too. The delivery was not good, and wish I could give zero stars for that. The employee who packaged the order must have been eating and spilled food on the covers and pages of three of the books. It looked like it was possibly pizza sauce… Sadly, I just reached in the box and grabbed the books, so my hands were covered in whatever it was… And it was definitely greasy!. Amazon quickly replaced the books and the new ones arrived clean!
