functional but a bit over priced
works perfectly fine, but feels cheap and is a bit over priced (£25.99 at time of review), maybe if it had internal battery and was USB charged it would have justified this price but as it is, needing AA batteries. the price is too high

Works as it should, good to have as it is useful for many games not only chess.
I have this FCXJTU digital chess clock/timer in black. The clock seems to be well made from a good quality plastic. It is powered by 2 x AAA batteries which were supplied, it seems like they will last for long. This clock is easy and quick to set up.It is very accurate.I found it useful not only for chess, but for many board games and other tasks. This multifunctional portable timer has also alarm. It can be set up for up to 10 hours. It is light and small, but the screen display is clear and easy to read.Stable on the table and easy to press the big button.Works as it should, good to have as it is useful for many games not only chess.

Good Chess Timer, also Useful for Other Games
The media could not be loaded. This is a good Chess timer that is available in orange or black. I guess knowing the rules of timing Chess will make this more understandable, but I think the user manual leaflet could do with some work as it isn't very clear or thorough on usage. The readout is nice and clear, but it would be good if it were backlit as it would make it easier to read. There is an on / off switch on the underside, you turn it on by pushing it toward either of the speaker options i.e. alarm, or silent alarm.Once on, the little dot will be flashing against the timing option, basic, bonus or delay. Use the up or down arrows to select the game, then press the second button on the left, the one that looks like a clock; this will leave the game ready to start.Press the same button again to set the time, use the right arrow to move between the hours, minutes and seconds, and use the up or down arrows to set the time. When you are happy, press the clock button again to get ready for the game.Once ready for the game, press the big white toggle switch on the top, the opposite side to the side the button is pressed down on is the side where the timer will be active. In basic mode you can use the timer as a count up (just set al the values to zero) or count down timer, I am not entirely sure what bonus mode is, and in delay mode it will delay by the number of seconds showing before it starts counting down.I actually got this to use as a Scrabble timer for those days when it has to be done in a bit more of a rush; however, for timing Scrabble, you could probably get by happily enough with a normal kitchen timer. Overall, this is a great timer, especially for those of you who play chess; at £25.99 it doesn't seem too overpriced based on competitive products on Amazon.

Chess clock that works well
I am quite impressed with this chess clock. It is simple to use and has large, easy to read digits. The clock works in the same way as a traditional chess clock and is very accurate. It allows users to set the time allowed for each player's moves and includes a pause function in case you need to leave your game for any reason. The only slight negative is that the clock takes two AA batteries rather than being rechargeable. It cannot be powered by any means other than batteries. However, it is well made and thus far I haven't had any issues with using it.Probably not a lot of use if you don't play chess, Go, or some other similar game but for those who do this is perfectly useable clock if perhaps a tad expensive at £25.99 for what is basically two digital stopwatches.

Clear and easy to read display
I really like this clock, primarily for chess games, but useful for other games too. It’s very light and compact, but the screen display is large and clear with easy to read graphics as it times. It’s operated with 2 AA batteries, supplied, so it’s good to go out of the box within a minute or two.The build quality seems good. The plastic construction is robust and the buttons are responsive. Cant fault it and with care, it should last for years.

Brilliant competition style timer
My Aunty has played chess for a long time and has played in several competitions over the years so is so pleased to have this timer to use at her local chess club or at home with friends. She says that it's easy to use and just like the timers that she's used in competitions so great for club members to get used to playing with a timer if they're not already. She also loves the bright colour of it!
