Great pen!
Great pen! Aesthetically it is nice. Classic looking without being gawdy. Flow is important to me and this pen did not let me down. It writes smoothly without being scratchy. The medium nib line is not too thick. It feels substantial in the hand without being too heavy.

Great weight, smooth nib, good choice!
Got this as my first fountain pen, so I'm no expert, but this is a fantastic pen! I prefer posting the cap, but it has a great weight either way. It writes very smooth and the ink always flows when I pick it up. The only criticism I have is the contract between the espresso body and silver trim is less than I expected, making the brown look less striking, but the pen itself is awesome!

Writes very smooth, very comfortable, but priced far above the value. The brass portion isn't very strong, just plated.

A fine writing tool.
As a novelist my ideas flow into written words in longhand writing on lined paper. I recently switched from pencils to fountain pens and this Parker IM is marvelous. I ordered the trio kit of black and blue refills and the conversion pump. Today I slipped in a refill, screwed on the barrel, and smooth, even letters flowed as the nib touched the paper.Some reviewers have knocked the quality being made in China, so just try and find a pen made in 1960.For me the quality of this pen rivals higher priced models, and I'm extremely happy with my purchase. This is a fountain pen I will treasure for a very long time.
