Can you see the seam?

Hello, This Mannington low gloss seam sealer is not intended to hide a seam. The sealer's purpose is to weld the seam together, sealing it closed. The welded seam will only look as good as the seam, prior to sealing it. However, from experience using this seam sealer, it has a somewhat cloudy tint allowing the seam to blend into the rest of the flooring. Thanks for the question.

Can this be used on vinyl plank to seal the cut seams?

No Harm in trying since it low gloss

Can any excess be cleaned up so floor finish is no smeared?

Thanks for the question. After the Mannington Low Gloss sealer is applied to the inside of the seam, and surface of the flooring, you do not want to remove any of the excess seam sealer. The low gloss seam sealer is meant to be left on the floor to completely dry, to seal the seam area.
