Genuine GM Parts 15035592 Hood Hinge Assembly

Does what it is supposed to dio.

This one is advertised as a "Genuine GM" part - I don't know about that but it is much closer to Genuine than the last clearly cheap Chinese one I bought from another marketplace. It also seems to have the proper markings. The last one's spring was noticeably weaker than the OEM spring and the spring broke after a couple times opening and closing the hood right after I installed it. This one has been holding up well so far and appears of higher quality than the broken one it replaced - and all for roughly the same price. I'd say this is your best bet short of spending way too much money at a dealership for one.

Was exactly same part number that was on my truck from 2006. Fit perfect and operates properly.

I purchased this hood hinge for my GMC truck unfortunately after installing it the hinge would not close down flat with the fender it stuck up by 2-3 inches not sure why since the first hood hinge I purchased on Amazon did the same thing thought it was the spring tension that was the issue. I will have to look into the issue more throughly This hood hinge was made very well and a solid hinge if it worked I would have kept it not saying anything wrong with it just didn't work on my truck.

String spring and easy installation. Might go ahead and buy one for the other side. (Description doesn’t mention it but this is passenger side.)
