These are wonderful. I bought them for my then 3 year old daughter - who is now four years old and loves to use this set still after one year has gone by! She always likes to help in the kitchen. She is very mature and listens well, so when she expressed she wanted to help mommy more in the kitchen I researched the possible products online and found this set. I trust her completely with this kids knife product- under my supervision of course! I found a lot of different kids knife sets, and I wanted to find a knife that she could use while helping me in the kitchen that would not require me having to stand on top of her, and be super nervous that she is going to cut her finger off. These work great! They cut, but are not really sharp enough to cut the skin. I mean if you start sawing on your arm, yeah it is going to scratch the skin. Otherwise I think they are very safe. She loves to be able to really help with chopping instead of just having to pretend. We started with soft fruits, like strawberries, bananas, and then worked our way to more dense vegetables like cucumbers and tomatoes. Overall I would highly recommend these! However I would not recommend them for a super young child that is not a good listener, or who doesn't understand what knives are used for, and that they can still potential hurt someone or themselves. Honestly, this is a wonderful starter kit for any child who wants to help with cooking. Not only starting children young in the kitchen to help, teaches them responsibility, independence, and hand eye coordination. Give them a try!

Bought these for my two year old grandson. He loves using them to help chop fruits and vegetables. He is willing to try new foods and eat more when he’s involved in the prep work. Very sturdy and perfect for his little hands. Ordering a second set for my house!

Perfect for the kiddos to help in the kitchen. The knives were sharp yet safe for the kids to use. They are easy to clean and the size is perfect for kids and adults to use.

There are a good value minded set of kids kitchen knives. I purchased two sets of them for my 5th grade students for a salsa making project we did recently. Obviously we cannot use real knife at an elementary school so I thought we would try these - which worked quite well. The serrated nylon blades are safe to use but can still cut through fruit and softer vegetables. The crinkly cutter tool works, and thanks to some experimenting by a few students, it was discovered it work great to chop up onions. This is definitely was not its indented use, but we found for tougher vegetables, like onion, that you usually want chopped small, the crinkle cutter actually worked better than the nylon knives. They are very affordable, but I do have to say that our set is already starting to show wear on the serrated blades just after a handful of uses. Considering what I paid for them though I really cannot complain. Another thing is that the larger of the 3 knives proved to be to large for many students to use properly - it is really more of an adult sized knife than a kids sized knife. Because of those two points I can't give this product a full 5 star review, but I would still recommend it for anyone wanting to teach their children basic knife skills and safety.

Say less. This is FANTASTIC for children! Works great! Doesn’t cut her fingers. Looks cute and simple but does what it needs. Lightweight and average knife size. Great quality. Reminds me of a pool noodle knife. I will say the wavy cutter is kind of sharp so please be extra careful and supervise your child no matter what item in this set they are using, but please be extra careful when it comes to that wavy cutter! Have fun cutting!

Its shocking how well these cut! They are not sharp at all and I feel completely safe letting my 8 year old use these all by herself. They cut apples, celery and even carrots with ease! She loves to help me cook and now she can cut veggies beside me. We can both work on a meal and I don't have to hover over her and carefully supervise the whole time.

Love the sturdiness, grip and comfort level of cutting veggies, our toddler loves to help us in the kitchen. A must have tool to keep them busy during cooking.

Good set, and works very well. But I don't put the knives in the dishwasher. The package are just plastic bag makes it looks cheap. Good part is I can put the knife in carry on luggage , great for travelling.

This item arrived without the crinkle cutter as advertised.
