From Marvel Studios comes DOCTOR STRANGE, the story of world-famous neurosurgeon Dr. Stephen Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch), whose life changes forever after a horrific car accident renders his hands useless. When traditional medicine fails him, he travels to remote Kamar-Taj in search of a cure, but instead discovers the mystical arts and becomes a powerful sorcerer battling dark forces bent on destroying our reality. Review: A truly wonderful film - "Doctor Strange" is chock full of mind-bending special effects and that's great. But what makes this truly a 5-star movie, in my opinion, is the writing. The plot is interesting and the dialogue rich, combining humor with pathos in an effective script that tells a very intriguing story. Strange is a complex character who is almost unique in the superhero genre. For example: He is not a mutant nor has he been "created" in the same manner that The Hulk was through a scientific experiment that went wrong or Captain America was through a scientific experiment that went right. He is also not an "accidental superhero" who was given special powers from an external source ala Spiderman. Instead, his power lies within himself and because it does that makes Doctor Strange oddly accessible to those of us who are otherwise "ordinary" human beings. He, in essence, gives us a ray of hope, allowing us to think - even believe - that we, too, can become a superhero if we have the discipline to tap into the hidden strengths we all possess. (Few of us have that kind of discipline - I certainly don't - but that doesn't lessen the fact that Stephen Strange helps us understand that we all have the potential to be much greater than we currently are.) Director Scott Derrickson - who also co-wrote the script - did not, much to my great relief, allow himself to be seduced by the amazing CGI but, instead, used the special effects to enhance the movie while allowing his actors to not just tell the story but actually be the story. I only wish more directors did that. The cast is terrific, something that I've come to expect when Marvel movies are made. Benedict Cumberbatch is perfect in the role as the egotistical Stephen Strange but although he is nominally the star of the film his supporting cast is equally wonderful. Chiwetel Ejiofor, Rachel McAdams, and Tilda Swinton are brilliant as is Mads Mikkelsen as the villain. There are, in fact, no weak links in the cast. And that, along with Derrickson's seamless direction and some truly great writing, make this a wonderful film. Review: Great shipping - Good movie

One of the best marvel movies
One of my favorite marvel movies. I didnt know anything about Dr. Strange prior to this but the whole mystical side and story was so interesting and entertaining to me, I loved all the actors and acting. This movie definitely has the best acting above all marvel movies. For me top of my favorites list for marvel movies (so for clarity as to my taste my favorites are Antman 1 and 2 and Thor 3). I never get sick of this movie, I watch it over and over and hope theres a second! This movie seemed to be less on the silly side and more dramatic and had really great writing plus the typical marvel action scenes.

A bit of Marvel Magic (Book 3 Pt. 2)
So, we got the Marvel Universe in film and then we got the Marvel Cosmic Universe in film. It was finally time to introduce fans old and new to the other Marvel world...the Marvel Magic Universe. Once again the best way to do it...make a movie about a not so popular Marvel character. Now I always knew about Doctor Strange but, I never read any of the comic books so of course knowing that he was going to be the next hero introduced into the MCU I was curious. Once again...not a ground breaking film but, a fun and entertaining look at a brand new cinematic super-hero. Benedict Cumberbatch definitely did a great job as Doctor Strange, he was intellectual, pompous, arrogant and curious. The journey through this film is unlike any of the previous Marvel characters along with a very different origin story. The reveal of the Marvel Magic Universe in this film only scratches the surface of what is actually out there but, the film definitely makes you eager for more. There is a great supporting cast including Rachel McAdams, Matts Mickelson and Tilda Swinton. However the highlight for me is definitely Benedict Wong as Wong, who is going to show up with a much bigger role in future Marvel films. This film also furthers the story of the Infinity Stones and seeing the power that the new one possesses only made me more excited for Avengers: Infinity War. The issues I had was the fact that the villains once again like in most MCU films were very underdeveloped and weak. Especially knowing how powerful a magical entity like Dorumamu is to be resorted to an overused lame joke is horrible. Either way, this is a good watch, it is amazing to look at and a very curious chapter in the MCU.

LOVE this character!!!
I want to be honest right from the start and say that I did NOT like this movie the first time I watched it. I was confused and had no clue what was going on... I know it's an origin story, but there were parts that I just didn't like because they were slow or didn't seem to really fit well with where the story was going. However, I watched it a few more times because I really ended up liking how Doctor Strange grows as a character... and I'm a huge Marvel fan so I have to give it a second chance! It's obviously pretty different from other Marvel movies, but if you look past the chaos the basic story is there like in all the others. Some of the movie is just weird... which is saying something since I do not think there is much that I am surprised about or find out of the ordinary in movies. There are definitely people that will not like this movie, but I think the character is an absolutely great one to have in the Marvel universe! I have not seen the new Avengers movie, but I've heard the rumors... and I really, really hope they end up changing how everything works and let Doctor Strange have a sequel!!! (Pretty sure this movie is an absolute must-see in order to understand the storyline later on.)

We love the Marvel movies and this is one of my favourites. Benedict Cumberbatch does a fantastic job of bringing all of the frustrating and lovable qualities of Dr. Strange to life in a relatable and humourous way.

Benedict Cumberbatch is absolutely stunning in this surprisingly entertaining and, yes, philosophical story that will keep your eyes glued to the screen so as not to miss anything; a gem of a movie, I watch it often and hope there will be sequels.

Fast delivery, awesome quality! Thank you so much! :-) Hoping to buy other MCU movies, since they're at a very good price here than in the local video stores.
