CarexCane Tip 3/4, Black

I bought this as a replacement for a cane that I was repairing. It fit well, has held up and was a good price. It does look somewhat generic but then it is hard to dress up a rubber tip.

I love the soft rubber of these cane tips. They wear out a bit quickly but well worth the price for the gripping power. Having used a cane for 23 years I've tried many different tips from many sources. Products can be bought from drugstores, supermarkets or any medical supply store. Many are such hard rubber that they are slippery and seem to slide easily. I have not had this problem with these soft cane tips. The little older model had a wider outer ring on the bottom and I liked them better but these still grip as well.

This is the first time I've ever had to replace a cane tip, so I'm no expert. It will take a while to see how this replacement tip holds out. It fit easily onto my metal cane. It did though, seem to have a smaller outside circumference than my original tip, thus possibly less cane stability. It also seemed to be a harder rubber than the original.

It fits my 3/4 inch cane like a glove. I bought two so I have a spare. Not the same item number as what I had before, but it works.

On dry surfaces, these are excellent! Thankfully I live in mostly-dry Southern California. I just hit a patch of wet cement, and the tip had zero grip on the wet cement, resulting in a fall.Be extra careful in the wet.

If you walk in gravel or lean on your cane a lot, these newer ones are softer and wear out faster. At $3 with free shipping, I'll get them and replace them as needed.
